Wheel Protection

I just picked up some wheels that have very few miles on them and have already cleaned them inside & out along with clay barring them. Im wondering what product to use to protect them from the harsh brake dust the VW produces. The LSP products i have are as listed.

Klasse sealant
XMT360
PB wheel sealant
PB natty's blue

wich one would be the best to apply? or are they worthless when it comes to the wheel being heated up from driving?

any info would be great & i'll post pictures tomorrow.

sealants tend to hold up the best.....overall i just prefer to use pb spray and rinse wheel cleaner every wash...
 
I like DP wheel glaze. It works better than any wax or sealant I've ever put on my wheels. Cleans and polishes them nicely too. Plus the shine is great.
 
I also like DP Wheel Glaze but like orngez' will also use a sealant, DG #951 AW.
 
DG #951 and or both #921. You can clean lite dirt with #921 and top with #951.
 
thanks for all the replies, but A ground shipping order takes 7-8 days to get to me and im gonna have the wheels on before that amount of time passes, so what that I listed above should i use?

PB wheel sealant
Klasse sealant


I do have a order that will be here tuesday that has PB S&W in it.
 
Another vote for DP wheel glaze. But between PB wheel sealant and Klasse sealant, I might go with the Klasse because you can use it on other things too.
 
updated original post with A picture.

I think im just gonna use my klasse sealant. Would it be worth while to do maybe 2 or 3 coats with 24hr cure time on each coat?

I'm with sparkie...AW is easy and convenient..the other products are great as well..with my wheels its too hard to use any kind of paste
 
If you don't have a dedicated wheel sealant then SG will do just fine, if your going to order, PB wheel sealant is a good choice. Anything is better than nothing, but some will last more than others.

I own the products I listed in the 1st post.
 
Why not use the Wheel Sealant then and save the SG for other duties. 2-3 coats a few hours apart with the wheel sealant will last at least 3 months, if you maintain with soap and water (no wheel cleaners needed).
 
I've tried just about all the wheel waxes and sealants and nothing seems to work real well. Finally bought some wheel shields from AG and they eliminated 80-90% of the brake dust. I was cleaning my wheels every other day and almost hated stepping on the brakes, if you know what I mean LOL
 
Well I got the inside of the wheels Clay barred and have 2 coats of PB wheel Sealant on them and just put one more coat to leave on till i get home from work tomorrow for good measure.
Then tomorrow im gonna hit the faces of the wheels with some XMT360 and a white 4inch ccs pad then finish it off with A couple coats of PB wheel sealant on the face of the wheels.

yes yes I know XMT360 is A sealant but i wont be able to buff the edge of the spokes with the buffer so thats why im gonna follow up with the PB's.

I also used the DP Wheel Glaze the last time. I didn't even think about using DGAW. Need to try that.

Yes, having trouble posting pics, but will post as soon as I can figure it out. I didn't think it would look good, but with the solid black background it makes the rims stand out even more.
