Wheel Sealant/Wax

I just bought a new set of wheels for my truck. This time I went with a set of black painted and machined rims instead of chrome. (See pic below of rim.)

My question is simple. I want to get a coat or two of 'something' on these rims before I install them on the truck the first time to protect them from contaminants, water spots, and anything else that might try to get on them. I want something with superior durability and longevity, so I'd imagine a sealant would be preferable.

Right now, I'm strongly considering Chemical Guys Wheel Guard, but am certainly open to suggestions.

So what would you recommend for these wheels?
 
There is only one way to go if you really want longevity opti-coat. You have to remember wheels are going to get extreme heat from the brakes, as well as brake dust and iron particles. That's my vote..
 
carpro DLUX have been holding up great on my wheels for a year plus now. ArtDeWheel is also another good product.

I used to love waxing wheels like with poorboys wheel sealant or SV autobahn but find coatings are much more durable in the end.

Do them once, do them right and you'll really thank yourself for it :)

For those wheels I'd coat them for sure:dblthumb2:

Nice looking wheels man:)
 
Another vote for opti-coat though chemical guys jealseal been holding up nicely on my wheels for about six to eight months now
