Wheel techniqe

I could certainly see doing it during tire rotation, good idea. But taking the wheels off every car wash time to clean barrels? ah, hell naw. I aint that dedicated.

I clean the wheel barrels every time I clean the face of the wheels and tires. The Speed Master Wheel Brush is a good one I have domestic kind of bristle brush like that. And also the Wheel Woolies Spoke Wheel Brush which I get easier cleaning behind the spokes of the rims. Also if you want to have a high quality face wheel brush the Wheel Woolies one is awesome and very gentle.

As some have said here, a lighter bristled brush is safer to avoid scratching the faces of the rims. (This is coming from the perspective of detailing a customer's vehicle.) We'll typically avoid this step in the wash process as there is a greater potential for an employee to brush too hard and create some form scratch, marring, etc to the wheel face. Instead we'll foam rims/tires + rim cleaner and hand wipe down the rim faces once the vehicle has been completely finished and chamois.
