Wheel/ Tire Cleaner

I'm typically a DP gel guy but I'm out and need something OTC to tide me over till my next order. I'm looking for something gentle that can be used on clear coated wheels, tires, and in the wells.

Any suggestions?

Anyone have experience with this Duragloss offering?

Of course, but I'm looking for something a little stronger, but not acidic
 
I'd vote for Meg's. I too perfer the DP Gel Wheel Cleaner.
 
the problem is most store bought wheel cleaners use lye or hydrocloric acid, and both are very damaging. Until you can get your order, play it safe. I prefer P21S personally. ...

:iagree: :iagree: And if you want it strong, just use NXT soap. It has some good cleaning power.
 
I wanted to ask a question regarding cleaning tires and the DP Gel. My tires get really brown and yucky during the winter due to all the dirt, snow and road salt the city lays down.

I've typically, before washing the car, scrubbed the tires with a strong brush and a bucket of car was soap. It gets them cleaner, but they're still brownish, and the tire shine just doesn't gleam as much as it should.

Does the DP Gel get them looking nice and black on it's own, or will I need to look at a specialized tire cleaning product?
 
after cleaning you need to dress them to get rid of the browning...

Yeah, I do. I use Meg's Endurance.

Was just wondering if there was any way to get rid of the browning prior to dresing. Kind of dulls the shine.
 
The Duragloss all wheel cleaner describes itself as not being harmful to ur wheels, and DG is pretty reputable onAG. Maybe you should pick up a bottle :)
