I knew we would get a good discussion on this forum! I've looked up this topic before and whenever I see people discussing it then it always turns into some sort of flame war.
My big problem with it is from more of a professionalism standpoint. A good amount of us on here are professional detailers and work with a lot of car enthusiasts. How professional would it seem if we're going around using an incorrect term around a serious car nut? You might have lost some credibility with that person as a professional who takes his/her job seriously. It's the same with using incorrect grammar, things like they're/their/there and your/you're; I see stuff like this often on websites and they've immediately lost my business. Some people notice these things and if you're not going to take the time to use the words properly then how does your customer know that you're going to take the time to learn how to detail properly.
Rant over. Carry on. :xyxthumbs:
