when do you use an AIO, when a One step?

so then you apply 1 product (aio) by machine and 1 spray wax to top off for durability.
then that will take you the same tims to apply 1 product (polish) by machine and 1 spray wax /sealant for protection.
then I'd go for the last one, as it's more "permanent"...
and we're back at the beginning :D
No...
You apply the AIO by machine.
One-step...That's it...Done!!

Later on down the road (as the need arises):
When you perform car-wash sessions, for example, is when the decision
to apply a QD or Spray-wax/Spray sealant, or not, comes into play.

I do understand you're not going to use AIO's.

However: Other folks, including myself, will.
(I happen to think that the "newer" AIO's from Meguiar's are really good ones.)

but you have no control over the fact if that person will let you clean it that often, or if he cleans it, he'll apply a wax and do it often enough. and I do think it could harm your reputation.

I've tried the Meguiars black wax, but it only lasted 2 weeks...
haven't tried much others as I'm no fan. but I'm always open to suggestions

Prime example of why some detailers "make it" and others don't. Don't over think it. Charge what you are worth. Let the customer decide what's best for them. Book The next job. End of story

Black Wax last 2 weeks? I get 3-4 weeks out of D156. Is that with wash, clay, black wax, dry to a haze and then remove?

I use AIO's on close to 80% of the cars I work on due to time constraints. Mainly using XMT360 if the defects are minor and I'm seeing a solid 3 months of protection on the co-workers cars I detail. The cars usually see an automated wash every 2-3 weeks. If I need a little more correction I pull out the D151. More correction but less protection so I started topping with a spray way or a wowo carnuba like Maxwax. An AIO saves me close to an hour on a smaller suv because the product typically requires less working time than a traditional polish. It's something I don't see leaving my arsenal any time soon.

For AIO's my 2 go to products are D151 and DG501. DG 501 has to be one of the best cleaning and longest lasting AIO. D151 has to have some of the best cut in an AIO.

I have combined the 2 on a pad and used it on a few details with great results. My thinking is great cleaning and cut with decent durability.

Hum... I don't like to put D151 Paint Reconditioning Creme in the AIO category. Yes it is a product that does 3 thing : Polish, glaze and seal. So technically it's an AIO but it has more cut than M205, it's halfway between M205 and M105 in terms of correction ability so it's more a compound/polish hybrid that will hide the micro maring and apply a sealant all in 1 step.

I think it should be the go to product for any 1 step polish, it's very unexpensive and it does a lot of work in a short amount of time. I don't know if other companies have products that compare to D151 but I really feel Meguiar's understood the needs of the production detailers when they came up with this product.
