When is it acceptable to use a quick detailer?

I think this is the most sensible approach, with part of the "good technique" being to use plenty of towels and making sure to use all 8 "sides". As for lubricity, I don't know how it applies for all products, but I use Wolfgang Uber and the waterless wash and QD ratios are nearly the same, with the QD ratio actually offering slightly more lubricity.

I always "overuse" any kind of WW/QD product as far as ratios. (Nothing crazy, but you know.....)

And I always "overuse" it out of the spray bottle as well.

For quick detail spray, they do make adjustments in the formula for things like silicone or things like it that form something that reflects light. Kind of like red paint will be shiney but red paint with gold flecks will give an extra pop.
