So every so often I get an odd job. And this one ranks up there. I had a good client of mine reach out with a really bad situation. He bought his wife a brand spanking new 2020 Jeep Wrangler. About 4-5 days later a group of rogue turkey's decided they didn't like seeing there reflection and decided to go to town attacking it.

After assessing the damage and discussing options we decided that having me put my skills to work would be best. Instead of involving insurance and having multiple panels painted and possibly having a incident on a carfax show up on a new car.

Wash/Decon

Hyper wash, Meguiars Iron Decon, nanoskin fine towel

Wheels/Tires

Mckess foaming wheel cleaner gel, Tire rubber cleaner, Hyper dressing

Correction- Damp sanded the damaged areas with Mirka abralon 3in disks with the Flex PXE 2000 grit, 3000 grit and 3M 8000 grit disks. Compounded with Rupes 21 MK ll, Flex PXE 3in, Microfiber cutting pad, IGL F1 compound. Finished polished with 3D One and IGL Yellow foam pad.

The rest of the Jeep was one stepped with 3D ONE, IGL Yellow foam, Rupes 21 MKll, Flex PXE.

Boy the Flex PXE came in handy and made life much easier.

LSP- IGL Poly

Hahaha! Hell yeah buddy! :buffing:

As soon as I saw the pictures you posted up on FB I just knew you were gonna slay this bad boy. Outstanding work my friend, the finish is better than new .... now the Turkeys will be checking their makeup in that reflection! :props:

Nice to see the full pics, as opposed to instagram. Nice fix on that damage. That black paint is super black. Looks awesome.

great job,,you slayed it like a true assasain,,stupid Turkeys sure can do a lot of damage

Great job saving that, Justin.

I like animals, but there would be a bunch of free turkey dinners in my neighborhood if that happened to me. Lol

Great work reversing all that turkey business! Very well done!

Very good results now if they could electrify that body to zap those turkeys!

Fantastic job ! Last fall I was at our house in the NE mountains of PA unloading items from the trunk of my M4 ( which is metallic grey) and I turned around n there were 8 wild turkeys standing up tall coming at me, so I threw a few detailing bottles from my trunk at them n they took off into the woods. Needless to say the M4 goes in the garage when not in use

Superb work as always Justin. Wet sanding scares me. Would the compound and cutting pad have been enough to remove the defects?

No chance. And actually proper damp sanding with mirka abralon disks to level the defects is a lot safer and less aggressive than hammering it with a wool pad and heavy compound repeatedly creating tons of heat.

O someone sent a professionally trained turkey after you lol jk. Fix look good G/J

Justin , this came out real good, you definitely save the day, the owner was probably in disbelief of how it came out, “oh no?!
Is that my car”
