When using MF towels with ONR...

If used properly CD will not cause marring

Agree.
1. You can't use it on a dirty car, only on a "dusty" car.
2. It has to hover over the car, you can't lay it against the pant and drag it around.
3. You have to shake it out and make sure it's clean before using it.

anytime you move or sweep dust particles over a car you run the risk of marring the paint. ESPECIALLY if you move or sweep dust particles over the car without the aid of a lubricant.

So i do not think that statment about it absolutely not marring a car is valid. I think it would be better said if it was stated that using a california duster properly will reduce the risk of marring the paint.

IMO, the california duster is dinosaur compared to the new waterless wash technology. I think it should be abolished to be honest as there are so many more ideal products to now use. Its old technology. Parrafin wax on a bunch of fibers. I think you would run less risk by walking around the car with an air compressor blowing the dust off the car rather than using one.

just my opinion.

Like the one member above posted, the california duster is a mobile detailers DREAM !
