Plug that name into Youtube Corey; they have some videos.

Not impressed thus far. Some of the new OPT stuff has me curious but as far as anyone else ....BLAHHHHH!! But Megs is putting some of the same old products in 57 different shaped bottles and calling it something different.... :D Heinz already has the "57 varieties" LMAO

I couldn't agree more!

Optimum, I'm excited.

Meguiars, I already avoid trying anything I don't know about from them for exactly that reason. They have hundreds and hundreds of products that do the same thing. They really need to consolidate and throw away some of their line IMO. Certainly don't need to add MORE of the same.

Eh, it's silly from our perspective, but they are hitting a number different markets and the retail space simply demands multiple branding, look at the soda companies.

How does one get to test for Optimum?
I have wondered that as well. Having tried a few different lines, OPT is the one that I want to try all of; especially now that they have the pad/polish combo.

That what I was thinking. But, if you think about it, it is not that far from what most detailers do with their "product". So you specialize in automotive? Why not sell yourself to motorcycle owners as well, and boat owners, and airplane owners, etc. That's all Meguiar's is doing with SOME things. And that's what many successful detailers have done.

Agreed, Meg's blew their load on the "revolutionary" MF pad system. From my perspective it looks like Optimum may be doing things a little better than Megs...you know...waiting until their products work perfectly before releasing them...;)

Scream about Powerclean in every thread on AGO for 6 months. Im the MAN

But there is no mention of it on the Optimum website. I have only seen it talked about on this forum.

Opti-Coat 2.0 isn't on there either, and it's been out since DetailFest--so what's your point? The GPS just leaked out yesterday, I'm not even sure it's been officially announced.

And for those of you who are going to try to beat me to it, I'm sure it was just a defective bottle.

Waiting.

You guys will catch up eventually (GPS just leaked out yesterday, defective bottle).

Got it?

Havent seen a lot of new detailing product news from SEMA. Megs announced theirs and DoDo has some new ones. I was expecting Optimum Cutting MF and BP. Just wondering?

It does seem a little anti-climactic. Over on Autopia forums Todd mentioned there were going to be 12 new Blackfire products introduced at SEMA. But so far there has been no big announcement. Just a partial list of product names, but no details. For example there is a Deep Gloss Spray, but no word on how it compares to the current Deep Gloss Spray Sealant.

Man, you guys are brutal...the products announced at SEMA are generally next year's products. The SEMA show is for industry people, not consumers. And in case you hadn't noticed, pretty much all of the PBMG staff (and OPT) is at SEMA, which doesn't leave too many people at the fort to be posting announcements.

I mean, Mike Phillips, Meghan, Nick, Jason, Yancy, Max, Todd and who knows who else are all at the show, not back in Stuart.

Yea I dont get the whole thread 12 new products will be introduced at SEMA..and well they have never said anything offical or any pics of these so called new products..and its not like he wasnt in contact he was posting while at SEMA...pretty lame I think..So far all the stuff I was waiting to see and hear about there has been ZIP.

Holy cow, the show's not even over yet, and you want Todd/whoever to post all this stuff for you guys from the booth...like there aren't any attendees at the show?? Just for you guys who have never been to a trade show, the reason companies have people in the booth is to talk to the people who come to the booth...not sit there on their laptop and post for you guys...they could have stayed in FL and done that.

Maybe PBMG wants to preview the products to the people who came to the show, first, before it gets splattered all over the internet.

I'm sure next week when everyone is back in the office they will tell you all about everything.

most companies that release a new product will hide it till the big show..then once its revealed at the show then they usually release info on their webpage about it to inform everyone who is interested in that product. I guess SEMA is filled with more we will get around to it when we get to it. I just find it a bit annoying when someone post a big thread about they will be announced at SEMA and then no info. Cause if you didnt want anyone to know anything about them till after then why even say they will be big new products shown at SEMA. I sure see alot of other things that were shown at SEMA set out alot of info right after the show started.

We're beating a dead horse here. All I can say is that if Meg's did a better job with their SEMA new product intros, it's because Meguiar's has 25 or 50 times the number of employees as PBMG, besides being owned by 3M.
