Where did my post go?

I think its b/c they don't want it to end up like Autopia which is like a massive general forum for all things detailing. They want to keep AG more "niche" based I guess you could say, and not have the forum turn into an Autopia clone. Kind like the Meg's forum, you say one bad thing there about Megs and they'll skin you alive:D

But be confident that your business offers the best prices and best products. Go ahead, let everyone talk about other companies and other products. When you claim you are the best, it shouldn't make a difference.

:applause::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::cheers::applause: YES! you are so right!
you :righton:

Where did my "A nice little order!" post go? Why was it deleted? I didn't even get a PM or anything.

I posted it in the "Off Topic" section and Killr made it clear that we should be able to post our opinions about products that we like or dislike. I know it was in regards to products not purchased on AG, but many have done that in the past with no repercussions.

What's going on at AG???

The way I believe is Autogeek should let you discuss/question product currenly not selling at AG (that's how be got Menzerna, Duragloss, Collinite), as long as you don't open a new thread questioning this/that product. That is especially important for newbies, as their post/links to competitor products look like spam. For more questions/if unsure feel free to P.M. any of moderators and they should be able to help you.

And yes, we don't want this to be Autopia clone.

I do agree with you on this. I would have never thought to use Menzerna, Duragloss, Collinite untill the fine people here talk about the products.

I just like how most members can get in trouble for showing links to other products or trying to sell something. But, other members (select few) are allowed to openly promote, market and sell their product on this site. Talk about double standards!!! P1et was just saying how he liked a different company's MF's better than the cobra jr's and that was made out to be some big deal. Well to tell you the truth I buy MF's from all over and none of the cobras really impress me that much (there I said it and now I expect this post to be erased).

I really like some of the Cobra MF (I'm thinking of the 16x16 lavender plush with a satin/sateen edge), but not all of it by any means. I think there's at least some of it that is subject to extreme hyperbole.

I dont have a problem that AG doesnt allow links to competitors. After all this is AG's forum for their products. Thats fine, however, P1et's thread had no links.

AGREE.:) NO LINKS...DISCUSSION ON COMPETITOR PRODUCTS ETC OK....

:applause: Yeah, I'm super pleased with all the great information I've gotten at AG, from AGO as well as the folks populating these here forums. Just wish i had a little more will power sometimes.

Guy at the store last nite looked at my vehicle and asked me if i detail cars. huh?

 How would you know? They removed all the non-voc compliant products a few years ago.

Edit: I am an idiot!

It was meant as a joke, I don't know how that board is now but they would go bonkers before god forbid somebody put down NXT or other product lol.

LOL wow I feel like an idiot!

I don't mind MOL. I don't like NXT, but I do like a lot of their other products. I think you have to admit that there is no better place to learn about Meguiar's than the Meguiar's site, and the same goes for optimum, zaino....list goes on.

Well usually its automatic to say how great AG :p

I guess he got confused..maybe he thought it was a 'I love AG thread'

I think they are pretty lenient when it comes to other products. Before, you couldn't even talk about them. At least you can discuss them now. And if I owned a site, I would allow links to a place other than my own where you could buy a product of where it would lead to buying a product.

Right, the problem isnt with links, thats not what we are talking about. P1et's thread was temporarily removed and there were NO links involved. If this is going to be the case here at AG, then the forum should be private.
