Where the hell have I been (New ONR user!)

I'm still hesitant to use my optimum wash and wax..the idea of washing my car with no water hose on a dirty car scares me still. I would try it if my car was just dusty or almost clean but I can't trust it on my black soft paint
 
Just remember that you are washing and not sanding. Most times people go over a section 10 times and with more force than needed. A couple of smooth steady passes with sufficient lube is all you need.
 
ONR Stained my wash mitt so now I get worried if the dirt is really removed when I am washing.... any tips??

I feel the same way. I am much more comfortable using the traditional 2 bucket wash method. I might try it if the car has a light dust on it like you mentioned.
