where to put flyers?

Another option that is free is a Facebook Business Page. You can display pictures, specials and "Top Tips".

Well OP printed them out already. So for next time ask first. but that doesn't really matter

Don't worry about what people are saying. You're completely fine

Regardless if you have a B&W MS Paint flyer or a $500 design brochure, leaving them in random places thinking calls will come in is fairytale land

Go to business parks, shopping strips and talk to owners/people and hand them theses flyers. Make a personal connection

Focus on volume. Once you actually have work coming in, get a friend to help you out. With 2 people you can easily do the 'silver' package in 1 hour if you get a system down

This is only a side gig. Don't worry on doing 'high-end' work with 'ph-neutral' soup, etc... Majority doesn't care

we only spent $30 on flyers if there gonna get thrown out id rather get black and white the spend double on color. the prices are based on $15 to $20 per hour. Im not trying to do high end work. Just the basic wash and wax cleaning ect. I will not burn anyones paint because i will not be putting a high end buffer to there car. and to make ppl buy clay when you wax i don't think is a good idea, if you ask the average person and explain to them what clay does they look at you like your stupid. They think its a scam ( this is based on personal experience of a few ppl i have told it to) hell if 5% of the ppl read the flyers ill be happy. if i get 1% to buy 5 customers i think that be great. I don't want to put them on pols car because i don't think that it leaves a good impression. I have a friend to help me to cut the time down even further. But these prices are just a test run. (but $15-$20 an hour is great to me.) we wanted to give a discount on the flyers to attract customers.

LOL, a clay a scam. It's your job to explain the services you are offering.

BTW: If you don't clay before you wax, you are essentially waxing a dirty car and damaging the paint. EVERY Customer I have gets a full explanation and has a good understanding of what clay does.

The bottom line for me is if MY customers think it's a scam, either I'm not explaining it correctly or they don't trust me. Either way, I lose.

You want them to believe you, let them feel the paint before you do clay and then a test spot. Trust me, they'll get it. Maybe it's my age that works for me, I'm on the mature side of things ;-)

i have explained it well that it is able to pull embedded contaminates out of the paint. idk if you look at it from a third party perspective it looks like someone rubbing play dough on your car haha

Have your 3rd party feel the paint before and after!!! That's what I've done and the look in their faces is priceless!!!

ill remember that! i would differently have to raise the price if i included clay. But this way i can keep the package price low and try to sell them on the add ons

:iagree::iagree:Oh..... and :iagree:

Doing a $30 wash & wax is basically like the local cheerleaders, or the church group, or Lord forbid the Boy Scouts (like under 14). That's not meant to disparage Boy Scouts in any way, I'm a past Scout Leader (and think ALL young men need that experience).

The thing is....
There are those that are true "detailers" and those that are "car washers". Educating your customer, having them "know the difference between a swirl and a squirrel" is what separates the men from the boys., (literally). Personally I'd rather do 1 car a week, and get $125 (and up) for a wash & wax than do 5 a week for $25. First thing anyone that comes to many of us know is that *our* wash jobs take 3~4 hours and without a doubt their money is well spent. Waxing ANYTHING without decontaminating the paint is just a waste of time. (Although the whole terminology of "wax" these days doesn't tend to mean carnauba, but probably a polymer based substance more akin to a sealant that may not have any real carnauba in it at all.)
There IS A DIFFERENCE when you're selling yourself as the "best". :props:

Building a customer base, educating those customers, having them understand that YOU will take care of each and every vehicle as if it were your own, and that cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap. THAT is the thing that will build a business. Start when you're 18, stick to the business model, don't sell (cheap) on price, and by the time you're 25 you will not have been filling your summers washing cars, but you will have built a sustainable business. It isn't hard to be doing $1500~$2500 paint corrections each and every week, and have a full schedule, (with them waiting 4~6 weeks for your services).

Or....
Sell $25 wash jobs and let the other guys... correct all the swirled up mess.
