This question is for you guys who live in stuart. My parents want to come down with me. What area would be best to stay so they're kept occupied. Stuart, ft Lauderdale, Miami, w palm? I know that theres a train that will take them to places like Miami and coconut grove. I don't mind driving to the detail fest. I just don't want to hear complaining that theres no nice area's to walk around. Appreciate any input. Thanks

If your parents like the beach then you can't go wrong with anywhere in South Florida.;D If they like peace and quite the anywhere around Stuart will work for them. And there are plenty of attraction not far from Stuart. If it were me I would stay near Stuart to save of hotel costs, and let them drive to any attraction/cities that want to see. Have you asked them what they want to do when they are in Florida?

It depends on what they're into . Do they like the beach, shopping...? Will they have a car?

They'll want to walk around. I'm gonna look into west Palm beach. That way they can take the train to south beach, coconut grove places like that. Doesn't matter for me. I'll drive to the car show. I'm just afraid of staying in stuart and it not being a nice quaint type of walking city

Stuart is no more than a hop skip and jump from Palm Beach and West Palm Beach. In the Palm Beaches you have plenty of shopping, restaurants, and close to areas like Delray that are well regarded for a days visit. The cool thing with South Florida, there are hotels everywhere !!!!

West palm is not quaint or good for walking. Public transit in south Florida is not what you're probably used to. My suggestion would be for them to drop you off and then they can drive wherever .

I would like to go as well. Maybe we could get group rates on hotel stays, or maybe someone knows somebody who would be willing to rent out a summer home for a week?

You mean winter home, no one goes to Florida for the summer.

That's my suggestion as well. Stuart is a nice place. But it's not "quaint" or a walking town. I'll be staying where I always stay, at the Clarion - just because I have to be different.
