Which APC to buy?

For interiors, my favorite thing I've used is 1Z Deep Plastic Cleaner.

Otherwise I like D101 and OPC. I prefer D101 because it is much more economical, but OPC works a little better (not enough to justify the cost and dilution ratio of 3:1 vs 10:1 of D101)

I use Meg's APC and Super Degreaser combo. So far it has worked really well for me. What ever APC is not able to do, Super Degreaser will.

If your only issue with Meg's APC is that it leaves a sheen on leather, maybe you could wipe with a damp microfiber towel afterwards? Gotta be an easy way to cut down the shine the product leaves behind... it's not like APC contains any silicone or shinning agent...

I use BF interior cleaner now on my leather and everything else interior. I doubt Ill need anything stronger but its more a worst case scenario. I did a 50/50 and the d101 left a sheen for sure while the BF was completely matte. Most people probably wouldnt even notice it but Im kind of picky when it comes to the leather lol

The APC would be used more for exterior work.

Most of the meguiars stuff requires me to buy a gallon but since I have d101 it seems like from the responses I should just stick with it. Have any of you guys used it on paint for bugs or tree sap?

Does anyone have the dilution ratio for HD total? That stuff looks like an all in one product from the videos.

I am using D101 and DP hi-intensity mixed at various ratios. I use the d101 on the heaviest grime and DP in interior work. I haven't got to spend a lot of time figuring which was best since i got sent to the dirt pile!

Total is an excellent APC at a very reasonable price.

From the 3D website:

Follow dilution ratio recommendations as follows:

**Heavy Cleaning (engines/wheels): 2 parts water to 1 part HD TOTAL

**General Cleaning (interior vinyl/ plastic/fabric/bugs): 5 parts water to 1 part HD TOTAL

**Delicate Cleaning (leather):Â Dilute 10 parts water to 1 part HD TOTAL

On heavier tasks such as wheels, tires & engine compartments, allow HD TOTAL to dwell for 1-2 minutes, lightly agitate with your choice of brush, towel or sponge and easily rinse clean.

Simple green lists it's dilution ratios on the bottle. It works decent for price. I've never put it to an extreme test. I use it in wheel wells

I'm partial towards DP Hi-Intensity APC myself. One, because it works great and doesn't leave a film on the surface. Two, it smells great, and last but not least I spent a lot of time working with our chemists to get the formula just right. :dblthumb2:

Optimum does not have much of scent to me unless there is some nose irritation from the fumes and CG Nonsense is not in the same league as Optimum.

I've been using a 16oz bottle of Chemical Guys AllClean+ on my exterior for the past 2 years. It's great stuff, workes for everything, and has great dilution rates. The 32 oz Pinnacle APC is on sale right now as well.

Another vote for DP high intensity apc. No harsh smell + no film make it my new go-to APC.

Has anyone tried the Pinnacle APC concentrate? A 32 oz bottle on sale half-off for $10. This was also a BOGO item a while back. Wish the DP came in a smaller container.

Can the DP product be used on paint for bugs, bird poop or tree sap?

IME megs d101 is every bit as good and half the price...

nick, that's pretty impressive. when my current stock of APC dwindles down i'll have to give this a shot...

I haven't needed a reason to use anything other APC than D101. It works and it costs less.

I would put AllClean+ in the middle range class.
