Seriously! I heard that LED and Halogen light up different swirls. I want to include one of these with my next order but don't know which one!!!!Feed back please
 
I have the LED. it's OK. It's about 330 lumens. However, when I want to see something I pick up this:

It's a Coast HP 550 1000 lumens. Costco was/is selling it for $50. They may still be. However, when they rung me up the only charged me $19.99 if I recall. Comparable lights this bright are $100+. It takes 9 AA batteries. It's LED and it really lights up paint to find defects. The beam pattern / size is adjustable.

I like it better than the Brinkmann. But, the Brinkmann does have good ergonomics. It's just no bright enough for me on darker cars.

We have one of these - completely awesome, but I use the brinkmann Mike gave me, a prized posession!

I've had mine for a long long time, so the new ones may be different, but the batteries go in them and it's very difficult to replace them. I think I started a thread about it.

Also...If one is real serious about: Finding Swirls...
It doesn't hurt to have several different types of
light sources, for paint-viewing purposes...
