Which car wash soap?

That's a great idea! Especially for newbs like me who are just getting into this addiction...er...hobby. I'm trying to put together the best products to care for my car.

I went with the Optimum Car Wash in the gallon. It was a few bucks more than some of the CG stuff but it also came with a free washmitt, so I picked that one. Thanks for all the opinions guys...it sounds like I couldn't really go wrong with Optimum, CG, or Duragloss.

If you mean Ultima, that's because it wasn't even available in gallons then. I didn't even know it was available until you said something. I just added it to the list and it's $0.47/wash compared to $0.55/wash for the 22oz version

You truly can't go wrong with either of those. Great choice in getting the gallon of Optimum with the included wash mitt. You're going to love the blueberry scent. :dblthumb2:

Good choice, Optimum has great cleaning power and is a suds bomb! I also find it is fantastic in foam cannons!
 
I had to of gotten a bad batch of Optimum car wash, because the gallon I got is hands down the worst wash I've ever used. :dunno:
Of the dozen and a half washes I've tried, Blackfire is the best I've used. It's pricey though...

Im loving the CG Wash+wax with the great graoe smell and nice amount of suds, it seems to have more suds the CG Mr Pink

Thanks for the advice in this thread everyone. I just ordered the gallon of Optimum Car Wash as well to use for maintenance washes on my freshly Opti-Coated 2013 Altima. I had narrowed it down to that and CG Citrus Wash and Gloss (poor grad student, so cost per wash is important), but the mitt and OCW being from the same manufacturer won me over for my first order.

I bought the OCW and a foam gun. I'm planning on using it in the gun as well as in my wash bucket.

Your gonna have fun with it in the cannon. I create a foam party every time I use it even with my hard well water.

Does he have a foam gun or foam cannon? Big difference in the amount of foam produced.

I have a foam gun that I haven't used yet. How much soap do I put in it? Fill the whole thing or dilute with water?
