Hey guys was gona pick up a chemical guys wax next order and I was choosing between 50/50 and Pete's 53. I was looking for your thoughts on the two, which one you would buy and why? Thanks Joe

I've only use P53. You would be hard going wrong with that one.

No one ever talks about it but I use CG XXX and it works great imo

Pete's 53 is a respected product. Never used 50/50 though.

just save yourself money and go with Collinite 845 best money you will ever spend.

I like 50/50 I have not used Pete's yet. Looking forward to though.

I really like my 50 50. I also like my my Celeste a lot more than that.

Having used both, I like 50/50 better. I think it applies and removes easier, has better beading, and looks better. Just my opinion.

I have both along with Celeste(waste of money) Pete's and 50/50 are both excellent waxes for the money, I'd say either. But no way is celeste worth even half the price they charge. Another thing like about Pete's is it's easy to get out of the pot and apply to a da pad.

Both seem to be liked both seem to get good results guess ill flip a coin

Can you give me your opinion on the Celeste Detaglio? I am looking into that one. I noticed you commented about Celeste. I currently use Dodo Juice Supernatural and I am getting low on that jar and just looking at another premium carnauba. IMO DSN is probably the best wax I have used so far

I can't comment on 50/50 or Pete's as I have never tried them. As for CG products they are pretty good as I have a couple of their products in my arsenal.

I don't ever recalling reading a bad review with the Pete's Wax.
One day I may give it a try.
For now I'm so happy with my Collinite # 845 Aquawax :dblthumb2:

The main difference is that 50/50 is applied and let it haze before removing. With 53 you apply and wipe off after only a couple minutes. I liked 53, but it can be tricky. It stains trim so you have to be careful, and if you leave it on too long it is a mother to remove. Great wax, but you have to use it properly, although that can be said for virtually any product, but especially Pete's. 50/50 is a little more forgiving.
