I just switched to the EDGE 2k and see they only have 5 foam pads. Is one similar to the LC orange for med cut? I know the yellow EDGE is for med cut but it leaves considerable marring itself, or should I just go to wool at that point?
Thanks,
Chris

Well they did have an orange pad back in the day. I believe the new green pad with softer foam is the equivalent to the LC orange.

They actually have 7 edge pads. Black,Yellow,Orange,Green,Blue,White and Red. Just so you know But going to a wool pad isn't a bad idea either. Good luck.

Wool pads are good, but what are you polishing with? Generally, I have never seen wool used on the PC. Rotary and now FLEX work with wool

I'm using a Makita 9227C. Now is a very good time to introduce yourself to the wool pads. I should have done it alot sooner than I did. I created alot more work for myself by not doing so. If you get a quality wool pad like 3M for example. You won't believe your eye's. The correction is like night and day. Your confidence level jumps up a notch because you're not fighting yourself with foam when you need wool.

Hmm if you could send me a pm detailing when you personally use wool pads and what cuts, I would appreciate it very much!

I have a PC 7428 rotary, Flex 3401 VRG, PC 7424 d/a, and a cyclo. all have edge adapters. I am using the rotary for 2 and 3 step corrections, flex to finish and on one steps. I am not at all intimidated by the rotory any more, probably no reason to fear wool either.

Very good deduction. You have just taken another step of many...:D

With Edge 2K I use the green pad where I'd use LC orange.

Thanks guys, I'll let you know when I burn thru, haha. Do any of you use the yellow E2K?

One time only. Used it to remove heavy, heavy oxidation on a slow speed. Marring wasn't all that bad but it was there even on a slow speed. For a long time I didn't think I'd ever use the yellow pads.
