I want to get an electric power washer. I started looking at a Karcher, based on the reviews, I started looking at Sun Joe then based on experience having the thing I bought break before it did what I bought it to do I started to look at Kranzle. Somewhere between $100 and $1,000 is the right power washer for me. I searched the forum and found recommendations all over the board. Can someone give me the Good, Better, Best version of choosing an electric power washer?

I'm semi in the market also and had put a price alert for the Sun Joe (SPX3000) on Amazin a while back and it just dropped to $169 a day ago and is now the #1 best seller. Just FYI.

Interested to see what others say.

I recently bought a green works from Lowes on the recommendation of a
couple people here on AGO. I love that thing. Had 2 different Karchers that I sold because I hated the cheap hard plastic water line. The green works has a braided water line, is very quiet, has the same brass gun connectors as my gas unit (can use my foam cannon on both) and quick release tips. Just my $.02

I bought an ar blue clean this summer. Used it on my truck several times. Can't complain.only thing is where the wands are held don't do good job of keeping them on the machine.

After extensive research, I bought the Kranzle 1120T (which is now 1122T) and couldn't be happier! German-made and built to last. I use with MTM Foam Cannon.

I bought a kranzle 1122 TST and couldn't be happier. It's built like a tank.

I recently got the Sun Joe SPX3000 and it works great.

If you get the MTM Hydro foam lance on Amazon, make note that there are two. There's a lower pressure one (design for electric pressure washer) and a higher pressure one (designed for gas pressure washer).

The lower one has a max PSI rating of 2600 and the higher one has a max PSI of 5000 PSI.

I purchased the higher one without knowing and it works but once I found out about the lower pressure one I purchased that and noticed that the foam is a bit thicker. For the test I mixed a bottle of 3oz Honeydew and the rest warm/hot water. I used half the bottle with the higher PSI and the other half with lower PSI. The foam clinged onto the paint longer with the lower PSI MTM Hydro foam lance with my Sun Joe SPX3000.

I am also looking at the ryobi, the ar blue clean 383, and the green works, thoughts?

I got the ryobi one from home depot. About $160 it's been awesome. Works great. Love the foam cannon too. That's more fun than anything

Good to know, seems sturdy and reasonable. I do have some credit to home depot or it might be an xmas gift choice

I second this recommendation. The Greenworks is awesome. I bought the 1700PSI for $189.99 at Lowe's as well.

Why are electric pressure washers preferred? Is it cost?

Noise, weight, ease of maintenance (not messing with fuel, plugs, filters) and the ability to let go of the trigger and the machine come to a complete stop. That doesn't happen with a gas washer and they can be ruined by allowing the motor to run without water flowing through.

Gas tends to be more powerful, better longevity, and they tend to be rebuildable when they break down.

I have had the ar383 for about a year now and I have used it a fair amount with no issues. My only qualm about it would be that you need to buy their accessories for it. But the only one I needed was the foam cannon and it is actually more reasonable than most out there.

I use the AR Blue Clean 630. 1900
PSI, Electric, with a foam cannon attachment. Many happy autos!!

if i didn't already have an electric pressure washer, i would buy the 1700 psi black max electric pressure washer from sams club ($129.88). it's the same as the ryobi that home depot sells, just rebranded and $30 cheaper...
