Which Electric Pressure Washer

I'll chime in and say that my budget setup works awesome! I have a Harbor Freight electric unit (1750psi) that I modded slightly with a Ryobi wand so it would connect to the foam cannon I got on amazon. The pressure washer was $74, the Ryobi wand was $11, and the foam cannon was $21 and came with 5 different angled nozzles. For just a shade over $100 I have a nice setup that does exactly what I need and makes good thick foam without using a ton of soap.

I am not “cheap” but there are times when you can do a lot with great results and save a ton of money at the same time. Pressure washer is one of them.

I actually pressure tested my SPX3000 (SPX3001 has same specs) the other day with an assortment of different orifice sized nozzles. Granted i upgraded to a full stainless MTM spray gun with lance and custom 50' 1/4' hose with reel. Below are the results.

Using the Sun Joe tips:
green (25 degree) = 1200psi
grey (40 degree) = 1200psi

All nozzles below were from either MTM Hydro and AllPressureWashers.com (Hydro Jet brand).

2.0 orifice... *will be using moving forward*
25 degree tip = 1300 psi
40 degree tip = 1400 psi

2.5 orifice:
25 degree = 1000 psi
40 degree = 1100 psi

3.0 orifice:
25 degree = 900 psi
40 degree = 850 psi

4.0 orifice:
40 degree = 600 psi

I hope this helps anyone on deciding on a PW and or if you already own a Sun Joe.

Pretty sad pressure numbers for s 2000 psi advertised machine though.

I'm curious as to how you captured/calculated the pressure values? Not second guessing your findings, just interested in how you got to these values.

Simple 3/8" quick connect pressure gauge. Its not certified by NASA but gives you a good idea of where your at.

I picked up AR blue 390ss last year, it's worked well no complaints for my cars and weekend details. I did add extended warranty from amazon.

I received the SunJoe SPX4000 as an anniversary present and I am very happy with it. The wife got a deal on it at BJ Warehouse and I was even happier. I picked up a quick disconnect fitting on Ebay and I have an easy connection to a foam cannon.

I used to buy expensive ones, topping out at an AR Blue 610. Nothing seems to last more than 3 or 4 years for me. So now I just buy the $60 ones Amazon has on sale every once in a while.

Anyone try Karcher attachments on the ARblue or Sun Jose
Really want the undercarriage attachment and swaying away from Karcher PW due to quit a fee people saying theirs leak

You can get adapters that converts the Karcher fitting to a quick connect. I had to get one for their chassis washer. It was a pain to find it. Shoot me a pm if you need the link for it.

Karcher K5 for me. Gone solid for about 2+ years. I do see Karcher has moved to some Wall-E vaccuum design now. Who knows what will happen in the future. SunJoe's go on sale regularly enough that I might pick one of those up if my Karcher bites the dust.

I have had sun joe 3001 for 2 years and it works great. Bought on sale at Christmas from Walmart and got a cheap extended warranty lasting 4 years so I’m happy.

For those stuck in the wintery north like me where all outside water lines are shut off there is the Sunjoe 6001c-X-R. It is self contained (built in water bucket, battery operated) . Thus you get a day above freezing, wheel it out, then wheel back in, comes in handy.

My sun joe is now 5 years old 0ld used sparingly around the house, and winterized most years. I'd like a foamer, but not a hundred dollar model .. ideas?

Mike--you might want to take a look at this thread ---- Got Rid of my Overpriced Karcher PW and bought a Cheap Ryobi & Upgraded it... way better setup!!

This is what I did. Works great and if it ever pukes, I’ll switch over my MTM Gun and Cobra hose to a new pw.
