Which has more bite Menzerna IP or Optimum Compond?

I guess I should have figured it out when everybody was trying to push $80 Pinnacle Sourevan paste wax and also when my thread got closed because AG didn't carry a product I wanted to purchase. I still placed an order with AG for the products they did have.

Someone might want to give Autopia.org a call because every other thread when people ask where to purchase product they mention go to AG. I actually didn't realize autopia.org had a back-end store and I originally found there site before someone told me to check out AG.

Im not sure where you are trying to go with these comments, so lets tread lightly. AG and the AGforum is sponsored in whole by PBMA. We dont sell advertising space, and the forum was designed to help grow PBMA's sales while also offering advice and knowledge of how to use these products correctly.

Your comment about Souveran seems to be designed to take stab at AG more than a challenge of the product specifically. I would highly suggest you visit all boards, those selling advertising and those that dont, and see just how much Souveran is used as the challenger to all other products. It is the king of the Carnauba mountain so to speak, and those in the know want to be invited to the fight, and hopefully knock the title holder out.

This thread is in dire need to be brought back on track, and further comments about business practices will only get it closed. Please continue on ....

Hello,

Newbie, just finished door panel using PC with 2 passes of SSR2.5 on LC Orange pad (Light cut) and 2 passes of Menzerna IP with LC White pad (polish). Menzerna FPII ROCKS! SSR2.5 pulled out about 80% of the scrathes, looking for a product with just slightly more bit. Has anybody done a side by side with Menzera IP and Optimum Compond. I have to place an order for 1 of the 3 since I almost out of the 16oz bottle practing on my wifes car. I'm leaning towards Menzerna only because I love their FPII, unless someone tells me it is less aggessive than both (SSR2.5 and Optimum Compond).

I'm a thrill with the results so far. Just trying to better my game.
I never used Optimum compound, used Intensive polish though. Somehow I'm thinking that IP is less aggressive then Optimum compound, afterall it's a compound.
Optimum Compound will probably be as agressive as Menzerna power gloss.

Remeber there is no standard for the use of the word "compound" in detailing. One product that has this word on the label could be much more or less aggressive than another product with the very same word.

If you're looking to match up products at that level of aggressiveness my understanding is that Optimum Hyper Compound and Menzerna Power Gloss are of similar cut, but I have not used OHC myself. So, I do not speak from experience, but rather what I have read on the detailing forums.

Back to your original question. I have tried IP and OC. Go with the OC. It has a much better working time, finishes as well, and does not dust near as bad as the IP. Have not tried them side by side but both cut well. I also like the FPII as a final polish but most of their line does not measure up to the FPII performance. I have yet to see any manufacturer have the best of everything across their whole line-up. Just my opinion.

I guess I should have read the fine print.

Product discussion and support should be limited to products we carry and sell on We Are Car Care ! Car Wax - Car Polish - Auto Detailing Supplies & Car Accessories, Bike Depot- Motorcycle Care, Motorcycle Polish & Motorcycle Accessories, Pinnaclewax.com- Pinnacle Car Care Products, and Wolfgang Car Care Home of World Class Car Care Products!.

I was just trying to educate myself on the products/techniques on how to remove scratches out of my Black Range Rover HSE 06. I was researching both sites AG and Autopia.org and did not quite realize this site is similiar to the one-up type product sites (Meg's) except this site has multiple products. I think AG is a great concept and yes we should only discuss AG products just like someone would do if they were on the Meg's site.

Regarding the Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax, I wasn't really knocking it, ok maybe the price seemed a little far out there, but of all the threads I found on AG and Autopia comparing Souveran paste wax with other waxes, Souveran paste wax allways came out on top.

I love to show you my after pics but not all of the products I used to obtain the final results were AG products. It would have been great to promote the AG products that I did use, however I would have to leave blank spaces for the non-AG products.

There's lots of members who do that. Heck, we just want to see nice, clean cars.
