Which Leaf Blower for Drying?

I'm gonna pick up a leaf blower and just wondering what you guys recommend.
Is there a certain MPH I need to stay above?
Any other specifics I should look for or avoid?

I use a 7.5 amp Craftsman, and it does a great job. Some of the other guys use a 12 amp and like them.
 
Don't spend your money on Leaf Blowers,just reverse your wet & dry vacuum,disconnect the hose from the front and plug in the back,it does the same thing the more powerful the vacuum the strong the blower will be,save money for other things.
 
Bought one at sears (not craftsman) and it was $35 150mph 7.5 amp. Works well. Junkman2000 uses it so its good enough for me. My shop vac only sucks...no blow.
 
I have a 7.5 amp Craftsman that does the job well, but sometimes wish I had the 12 amps with more power. If you can find one out there that has a round outlet and wand you can fashion an adapter that allows you to connect a vacuum hose and concentrator--- makes it much easier to get the air where you need it.

What about the dirt, dust, sand in the system?? Even if you clean it I can't imagine getting it all out.
 
I'll check out Sears, Lowes and HD. My vacuum won't let me use it as a blower.

I use a Homelite (Home Depot) 7 volt two speed 120/150mph blower ($30). For $40 you can get the Homelite 12 volt 150/220 which I have been tossing around upgrading to.

Wal-Mart sells a very similar two products for similar prices under the "Garden Pro" brand. I believe Garden Pro and Homelite are made by the same company.

Weed Eater also makes a similar combo of low priced blowers but I believe my Wal-Mart has switched from Weed Eater to Garden Pro.
 
Craftsman here. I have the 12 amp and it works awesome! Only around $50 too.

Weedeater is the one I got. Good for blowing dust and debris out of the garage.

LOL They are not that stupid,to make the way you would blow everything you vacuumed...No you don't blow anything out of it,maybe in the 1st second when you turn the machine on.I don't even have a filter and it's fine. :props:

Correction: The one Wal-Mart sells is "Expert Gardener" brand. Same as the Homelite one just different colors. I don't know where I pulled Garden Pro from??

Anyway, I am going to upgrade to the 12 Amp Homelite from my 7 amp homelite unit next time I go to home depot. They have them in stock currently while Wal-Mart does not.
 
Sears has a 9 amp leaf blower on sale tomorrow for $20. Is it a 'must have' or can you get by with a MF?
 
My shop vac has a removable blower. When it's in place it acts as the vac or you can hook the hose to the back and use it as a blower, but when unclip it and remove it from the canister it's a leaf blower. the think I like about this is that the hard tubes connect to it and I can connect the crevice tool to the tubes. Lowes still sells them for $120, they have 210 cfm air flow. Check them out on-line. definitely a great 2 in 1 tool.
 
Sorry to keep reposting, but I forgot to say you can also attach the hose to the leaf blower which makes it very handy.

If you read the reviews, some people complain about the hose kinking, I'll agree that the standard hose is junk. I bought a smaller diameter Rigid (Home Depot) hose for mine. You need to modify it a bit to fit the vac. I used the end from the standard hose with a small vertical cut to allow it to expand around the rigid hose end. The Rigid hose is longer, better quality, and a smaller diameter which increases suction as well as air flow. The standard attachments don't fit the Rigid hose, but Home Depot has a car detailing pack they sell for about $20 that fits the hose. The kit is actually pretty nice...Love the crevice tool, it's long and flexible. Makes it easier to reach into those tight spaces and allows you to bend it a bit to get into tight angles. I hate the hard plastic tools that you can't flex, seems like there is always that one spot (usually by a seat rail) that you just can't get to with them.
 
Just bought a 12amp B&D from Lowes today for $40…. it'll work until I can afford a metro :)
