I'm about to pick up a new black corvette from the dealer and it has a lot of swirl marks due to it being wash by people who don't know better. The car has been on the dealer's lot for probably a whole year and has a lot of swirl marks.

I was wondering which menzerna product to buy to remove this type of swirls? Also which pad do you guys recommend to use with each polish? For example which size and color to use with a flex 3401. I'm new to detailing and I plan to use a DA flex polisher to do this. Also which sealant should I use? Thanks.

SIP, and PO106FF.
:whs: Plus some 85RD for jeweling, espeacially for black.

I would pick up some purple foamed wool pads. If you don't have any. Use either white or orange for the SIP, depending how bad. If you use the white pad with the SIP, then use the gray pad with the 106FA. If the SIP is used with the orange pad, use the 106FA with the white pad.

Megs 105 DA might be a better choice with a vette. The clear is hard on vette's. It will work faster than SIP, if the swirls are really bad.

If the Vette is brand new you probably get away with 106fa and a LC white pad, then followed up with a LC blue pad and 85rd. If it is used I would also get a few wool pads and some M105. Stay away from the orange pads on a black vette, I don't why I know this, but trust me on this.:D

SIP and Nano polishes should be mandatory for all Vettes. Maybe we should call the museum and have them stuffed in the cubby hole. Of course a buffer is also needed.

The vette is new but its been on the dealer lot for probably a year. I see a lot of swirl marks everywhere and there is a lot of them. Menzerna recommends to use a gray pad with the 106fa. Is it ok to use a white pad? Also which size pad should I use? Is the vette's clear coat ceramic type of clear coat? Thanks.

You can only use one size for the flex. Also, with the 106FA, you can use the white pad if you want. You'll just need to finish down with a lesser pad after that.

It is not a ceramic type CC, but is very hard. You can use the 106fa with a white pad without any problems. It just needs to be followed with 85RD and a blue pad.

Which size pad is the one used with the flex? How come only one size can be used with the flex?
