Which one would you recommend? New car purchase..

Whichever vehicle she chooses don't let her buy a white or silver color. You'll end up bored to death trying to make it pop.
Get a burgundy 1!

I'd suggest Silver or gold metallic, or any light metallic for that matter, but silver first.

All these cars designers have no thought process, you don't know what your looking at anymore all the same styling I don't understand it.Do they all pitch in for the same molds then put a little twist on it.

I was going to wait on the Tuscon until the summer release date last February when I was considering the Rogue but really couldn't wait. The Tuscon is a good looking ride, not a fan of the wheels though. Also, the deal I got on my Rogue smoked anything that Hyundai would do on a newly released model. Even considering our last two vehicle purchases were Hyundai's I'm pretty sure they wouldn't sell me a loaded Tuscon for $26,000 out the door.

I love this feature on the Rogue:

Forward looking parking camera with overhead view:

Rear back up camera with over head view:

Tomorrow's garbage day LOL.

Pretty cool never seen that before,I always say Infiniti and Nissan are ahead of technology and Mercedes Benz .I had a m35 in Crimson red back in 2010 and that was the best car I ever owned ,till my wife totaled it with only 9k on the clock. Then got q56 it was a beast and full of tech stuff and a gas guzzler you wouldn't believe.

How the hell do they do overhead view?._.

Their are small cameras on the bottom of the mirrors, it's pretty wild. If you place your hand out the side window in the front seats you can see it if you hold it under the mirror. Another cool feature on the forward looking camera is if you hit the button again it shows you the whole right side view of the vehicle and still shows the forward view. No more curbing your wheels!

My wife's 2015 Sonata pretty much has the same electronics package that the new Tuscon has. The Rogue and it both have some cool features that the other doesn't, but I'll take the camera features of the Nissan's. The Sonata has a great ipod mode, if you want to it splits the screen in navigation mode and shows the ipod menu too.

Just imagine if some hack got wax reside all over those tiny cameras.😡lol.

Thank you all for the replies and input!

Red is out of the question, mom is not a fan. Blue is out of the question as well because in her mind "who would want a blue car?"...her son!

She always had dark colored cars, primarily a shade of gray so white is something she is set on.

The Tucson, CX5 and thanks to custmsprty i am looking at the Rogue. The one thing that bothers me about the Rogue is the interior color that comes with the white exterior. Only if there was less "tan" color in that interior..

How is the CVT trans in that Rogue btw? My dad used to have a Sentra with the CVT and at times it would act funny right before coming to a complete stop. Anything like that still occurring?

According to Nissan's web site you can get the Rogue SL with charcoal leather interior.

The cvt is light years better. My wife had 2009 Altima so I can speak to it. Now the tachometer does register rpm's when accelerating, you'd never know it had a cvt. The CX5 is definitely peppy and sporty, but is that what your mom's looking for? It has a more sports car like ride for sure. The seats in the Rogue are more comfortable too, just my opinion. I did a 9 hour drive to NC for Thanksgiving and I have a bad lower back. Mine has everything except all wheel drive, don't need it down here. It has a full expanded moon roof with electrically retracted cover. All around blind spot monitoring, bose stereo w/sub woofer. Leather etc. Out the door with taxes I paid $26,300.
At least have her test drive it. My wife loves the camera features of my Rogue, buyers remorse on the Sonata. :props:

Thanks! I'll check it out and see if i can find any with the dark interior.

What size engines come in those vehicles? V-4 or V-6?

Rogue, Tucson, and CX5 come with inline 4. The Tucson has the smallest engine of the three with a 1.6L turbo but it has a 7 speed dual clutch auto.

Well...been a couple of months since this post, however...

Surprised my mom with a 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited-Ultimate with AWD in White.

The car is awesome so far, the dual clutch transmission is something else for sure!

Now to apply Gloss coat on paint, and CQUK on the glass, plastic trim and wheels. Woot!

congrats to you and your mom on the new ride! :dblthumb2:

So it's been a little while since we got the car...so far so good, so fun to drive!

HOWEVER..

Someone has been vandalizing the car while it is parked at my mom's work. So far in the last two weeks she got 4 dents from a car door, all seem to come from a bigger SUV or Pick-UP. The thing is, we have no clue who it is..there are no cameras and whoever parks next to her leaves before she does.

We have spent $200.00 so far on dent removals. I told her to park in a new spot from now on as clearly someone is after her..

Some people are such trash..seriously need to get a life!

You are not guys alone. I had the same problem with my previous new car. I got 6 deep dents in one year from an SUV, never find out who did it. With my current new car I caught a guy. He didn't want to go to my PDR place and after I gave him an approximate quote ($80 per dent the cheapest in NYC) had me to call the law enforcement non emergency line. The good one and the bad one could not see anything since it became too x4 dark and I felt like that the conversation started going that I wanted shakedown a guy, really?! So, I left to fix a dent myself even though it was noticeable under certain angle since the car is freaking mirror. LOL
