Which one would you use???

I think you have that backwards. You would want to start compounding with the M105 and Surbuf pad, and then refine the finish with M205 on a foam pad.

Yeh sounds good.., Thats what I said didnt I? :iagree:

Anyways that process sounds like it may be the way to.

Now the question is do I choose between the Foam pads or the Meguiars MF pads?

:bump:

I plan to;

Purchase the Surbuf Pads & Meguiars MF system & LCC CSS 6.5" Pads. (Orange + White)

Will hit the paint with my festool feq ro150 with Surbuf Pads and M105. (I assume there will be some small swirls left from this harsh cut)
Then hit the paint with either the Megs MF Cutting or Buffing pads and M205.

Thats the part Im unsure of, to remove the marks left by Surbuf +M105 will I need to use the harsh or finishing Megs MF pad.

thank you

Ok so you would agree this is what I will need, to cut back the paint, finish off the polishing and the Foam pads to apply the sealant and waxes.

1. Surbuf R Series 6.5 Inch Buffing Pads 2 Pack, surbuf pads, polishing pads - M105
2. Meguiars DA Microfiber Finishing Discs, wax pads, finishing pads - M205
3. CCS 6.5 inch foam pads, Lake country ccs foam pads, porter cable pads, ccs polishing pads, ccs pads, lake country ccs pads
- 1X Orange Pad incase the MF with 205 leaves some marks.
- 2X Red Pads for applying sealants.

How does that sound?

Would also like to ask.. How much of the M105 and M205 do you think I will need , will an 8oz bottle be enough to perform this on 1 car?

8 ounces is enough to do a couple cars. As for the orange foam pad, you should not need to follow up the surbuf with anything other then the finishing pad unless do you still have swirls after the surbuf, which I doubt you will.

Thanks guys.

Yeh I think I will grab the Surbuf or I could just stick with the Megs Aggressive MF pad. Has anyone used the Megs Aggressive MF pad with 105 before if so how aggressive is it, and by looking at those pictures I posted, will it be enough to remove most of the damage (not all).

Thanks again for your replies... look forward to placing my first order with AG soon

I have you that combo before and it cuts phenomenally. it should handle it just fine.

Just confirming that you are saying you used the Meguiars MF (aggressive and finishing pads) system and it cuts really well? Thanks

Yep. sorry about the mix up this phone sometimes changes my words.

Looks good to me. Of course do a test spot and try just the M205 on the finishing pad first to see what results it gives ii before you step up to the M105.

ooh and make sure you clean the pad after each section

Yes, clean the pad either with compressed air, a brush, a bug sponge, or a towel after each small section.
