Hey, I'm looking to buy a polisher. If you had to pick between the Porter Cable, Griots, or Meguiars new one what would you pick and why? Please help me out as I am very confused. I am kind of leaning twards meguiars because of the replaceable brushes. But I like the Porter Cable also. Griots is cheaper though.

If money wasnt an issue Id go:

Flex DA
Porter Cable XP
Cyclo (not because it isnt as good as Flex or PC its just different)

and then the others....

If money IS an issue i would go with a PCXP. They are on sale right now and you cant go wrong with it.

I have used a Ultimate Detailing Machine ( a modified PC) for 2.5 years and I have a makita rotary coming my way. Im looking to sell my UMD and get a new PCXP. Id be willing to sell my UDM for 50 plus shipping....

^ +1 to 360's comments. And dang that is a deal on your old machine.

Flex is top of the heap indeed but expensive, if cost was a factor I would grab the Griots due to its power and many positive reviews over the PC-XP. It seems to have slightly better performance, but PC offers a long term positive reviews on the original PC which lasts for years and years.

I bought the new Meg's DA and used it for the first time yesterday and highly reccommend it.

I just purchased a Griot's 6" ROP. I was torn between the three (Megs G110v2, PCXP, Griot's). The reasons that I chase was:
1. Griots has more power
2. Lifetime warranty
From what I have read, you can't go wrong with any of these models. However, if price is not an issue, most would say go with the Flex.

Huh? Chose?

I did same as BMW5541 for same reasons. In addition I thought I would like the adjustable D-Ring more than the stick handle on the PC. I got the Heavy Duty model from AG. Dont forget to add code AGO for free shipping on whatever you choose. BTW I have no regrets. I looked at Flex too. I did not like the proprietary 6" backplate limitation and besides I am an amatuer and dont need a machine that can do big time correction.

I'm the same. This will be my first machine and cost is definitely an issue, for this reason the flex is out. My car is a 2010 and just has light toweling swirls and a couple small scratches. But i'm getting older and fatter and don't want to do it by hand anymore. I wasn't aware GG had a lifetime warranty. Whats the warranty on PC does anybody know?

PC has a 3 year warranty.

I had a PC for years, very good machine. She broke on me and I went with a Griot's DA. I'm very very please with this machine. The power is unreal and I can correct paint alot faster.

I too have a PC and wanted to upgrade to a newer model. After much research I went with the new Griots. Like others have said, the Flex is the top of the line, but just for my personal use I thought the Griots would meet my needs. Another plus is that I can use all the backing plates and pads that I already have.

I keep hearing of Griots lifetime warranty but I can't seem to find this in writing anywhere, anybody have a link for this?

I tried E-mailing Griot's Garage last night asking them about their Lifetime Guarantee but both E-mail addresses didn't work.. I wanted to know to what extent the Lifetime Guarantee is usable.

Anyone else know an E-mail I can reach them at?

E-mail AG as they are an authorized distributor. Got my Griot and never thought about a warantee card.

Look at the bottom of the Griots Home Page. You will see a link in RED that reads "Customers for Life" that is to the point with no legal mumbo jumbo. IN addition they have a 180 day return with no questions asked. You just cant beat this IMO!
