Which pad for HD Compound, HD Polish?

So I have Lake Country Pads 5.5" Flat - Yellow, Orange, White, Blue. I am not sure if I will need to use the HD Compound, but if I do I was thinking I would apply it with the Orange pads, follow up with HD Polish with the White pads. I could do a test spot with the HD Compound and compare it with the Orange and White pad as well. What do you guys think?

Always do a test spot with whatever pad and product combo you choose and let that be your guide.
 
What are you working on? Is this just for your car or future jobs? What are you looking to accomplish, enhanced appearance, flawless show car finish? What machine will you be using?
 
2014 Ford Escape, personal use, I don't detail for a living just for fun, looking to make the paint look new! Griots GG6 with 5.5" lake country flat pads
 
With what you have I would start a test spot with white and go up from there.
