Which pads, waxes, cleaners Etc, should i buy???????

Just read, read, read. Watch videos and after 2 weeks or so you will have a very good idea on products. It might take a month but the more time you spend the more you will learn

Thats should be an alarm telling you to slow down ;)

Thanks so much guys for all the helpful feedback. As much as i want to get going and start polishing i know i need to take my time and really look into it all. you guys have been very helpful so far and i do appreciate it!

I am going be spending some more time tonight and tomorrow researching more and more on the pads, waxes etc. and be asking more questions along the way. i want to feel good and comfortable with that i will be purchasing and using.

On a site note i had a few questions about washing cars.... Ive seen and been reading about people doing these rinse less washes on cars and some people doing it the good old fashion way and spraying the car with water then soaping it up and washing it off.

I have also here that its not good to use car wash soap and to only use water or some kind of cleaner. what yours guys take on all this? what do most of u do or would you recommend i do when washing/detailing a car?

The other thing is ive seen some people do this and others do not do this...
Some people tape off the car before detailing it and others just go off and detail it without taping nothing off.

Whats ur guys take on this as well?

I love rinseless like Optimum No Rinse and waterless like Ultima Waterless Wash Plus. ONR is a very popular product on here.

They are great if your vehicle is lightly to moderately soiled. I use them every couple of days rather than having to wash my vehicle all the time. Lightly soiled I would use a Waterless or Rinseless Wash. And with moderate soil I would use Waterless or two bucket wash. Its confusing but you will understand the difference after seeing them in action on video

When it gets fairly dirty use a two bucket system with a quality car wash soap.

thanks so much for those links that really helped out.

well im currently looking at and trying to decide on which clay bar kit to choose from. There only seems to be a few different kits and im looking at the pinnacle kit they have.
Seem like a good brand, im sure they all pretty much do the same thing. ive use the meguiars kit before that u can buy at like auto zone and i was please with the results.
is there much or any difference with these more expensive kits?

Is there any clay bar kits you guys would recommend?

Ive used a lot of clay... And I have come to the conclusion that clay is clay. buy whatever is cheapest. The only different clay is aggressive clay.

Personally I like the Mothers Clay bar kit. You get 160g of clay, QD, and a pretty nice microfiber all for about $17. The clay in the kit is also very easy to kneed.
