Getting ready to order some new pads. Have been using the green for cleaner wax and red for wax. Looks like I will be going from a white truck to a black or maroon maybe. Will this pad color still work or should I go with different, more cut or not as much, for the darker colors?

All depends what kind of defects your trying to remove. The green pads are great for AIO products. Maybe get some hydro-tech pads. With only 3 of them, you can tackle almost anything.
