Some decisions are based skill, size of the vehicle, product uses and budget. Mind you, I nor my friends are no expert by any means and/or loyal to any brand.
Since I had my Tundra done using the Optimum Pro Plus (authorized installer) they were interested in trying a coating themselves without spending a fortune at a shop.
Doing one of my buddies Tundra (big landscape), he purchased the 30cc WG ceramic coating for his Tundra. We had used approximately 27 cc's total with two layers of coats on the Tundra including all trims and windows.
One of my other buddies who has a Tundra, bought the 20cc of Optimum Gloss coat. We were able to do one full coat but on the second layering coat we ran out at the last panel (tailgate). Being satisfied and not willing to buy another 10cc's to complete the second coat. He opted not wanting to buy two more different products just to complete the tailgate and a different coating for the window. He settled with just the 20cc's.
On the other hand when I did a Nissan Pathfinder I still had some product left from the 10cc syringe.
I guess you can say which choice of product depends on your skill level and size of vehicle. I am pretty sure a seasoned expert could have probably covered the entire Tundra with two layers using 20cc of Optimum gloss coating.
I would say the Optimum Gloss coat and Wolfgang Ceramic coating both look good and bead water equally. As far longevity and I would just trust the description of the product when purchasing keeping in mind that you have a maintenance care plan that is proven to work. IE using recommended wash soaps/shampoos, drying cloths, detailing sprays ETC. Good luck in taking the plunge in either of the two products. We all started as beginners and learn along the way. Opinions are just what it is "OPINIONS", some swear by some products while others will provide negative feedback. IMO Any product in AGO is proven and endorsed so you would be good in any of the products.
