Which paint coating ?

Gloss-Coat® is hands down the easiest to apply. The gloss factor is a 10 and a little goes a long way. Make no mistake, those who use something else are just doing it the hard way!

I have to agree with this. Gloss Coat is very easy to use.

Is the starting point for the gloss factor of the freshly polished paint a "10" as well

If not, are you saying GC increase the "gloss factor"?

Was this confirmed using a Glossmeter?

I know that some of the ingredients in various coatings are more reflective than paint and therefore could increase the reflectivity of the surface.

I have seen a CarPro video using a Glossmeter to prove that the gloss of the surface is increased by application of their coating.

Has OPT conducted similar tests with GC?

I am not sure if this example will answer your inquiry, but my understanding is that Gloss Coat is "glossier" than Optimum's Opti Coat Pro.

Of course no matter what coating one uses, a perfectly polished paint is a must and should be the "starting" point, so ALL of the products mentioned in this thread will and would look amazing.

With that in mind, here is an example of 2 professional products side by side. On the left, Opti Coat Pro, on the right CQuartz Finest. So if one used Gloss Coat the finish would look even "glossier" than OCP if the finishes were polished out equally.
