2012 F-150 Raptor, Oxford White Paint is in excellent condition I will probably go over it with Rupes Diamond ultra fine with my Rupes Mark II 15mm before I seal it.

Ordered and just received the Wolfgang Si02 but have been looking at the Dr. Beasleys NSP Z1. Just a weekend warrior I don't know hard clear coat from soft clear coat so I want the best for this truck. I can use the Wolfgang on my wifes car and my work truck so it won't go to waste if the Z1 is a better product for this application. It is garage kept and mainly driven on the weekend. In the Mojave desert so lots sun and dry heat.

Thanks In advance.

Isn't NSP Z1 a coating and not a sealant? A coating is a lot more durable than a paint sealant.

My nomenclature was incorrect, Which of those two products will produce the best shine, deepest gloss, most bad ass looking finish on the truck. Durability is not a issue for me as I enjoy working on it.

I've never used a Dr. Beasley's product, but I have used the Wolfgang SiO2 Sealant and really like it. The shine is incredible, very glassy and reflective. Here is what it looked like when I applied it to my neighbors Cayenne Wolfgang SiO2 Sealant on black Cayenne

I'll also add, I like the Wolfgang product enough I'll be applying it to my own car in a couple weeks to do a winter durability test.

White is a very hard color to get noticeable results. The best approach I've found is polishing it out to get that crisp, clean, shine and then hit it with a product which is really glossy. The color doesn't tend to show depth very well...if at all. IMO.

For white daily drivers that see winters I like....
- Carpro Essence
- Cquartz U.k 3.0
- Carpro orange pad

Simple combo that gives a very nice, sharp, bright gloss that is very durable

Wow, That looks amazing. I think I will go with the Wolfgang for now and top it with Collinite 845. We don't have brutal winters no snow, ice or salt.

I read the Cquartz UK is for colder climates for the desert I would just use the regular Cquartz I assume?

That is for application temp. Not overall daily climate.
Cquartz U.k has a pretty wide window for application temps. I have applied it in 45-50 degree weather and it took no problem.

If looking for great bling over great protection (has good protection though.... Gyeon Cancoat. IMO looks better than CQUK3 and easier to apply.

No flash time just apply and wipe off. Should get 9-12 month in AZ

Coatings,
Thanks for the input, protection is not super important as it is garaged 98% of the time and the really only harsh weather we have is the sun here in Southern Nevada (Las Vegas) pretty much the same as AZ only a little less humid.

If I put the WG Si02 on I assume it will need to be polished off before applying Cancoat in say 4 to 6 months or can it be removed with Car Pro Eraser?

They are both SiO2 so I don't see why they are not compatible. No, Eraser would not have removed WG.

If the next coating you are using calls for a clean surface the only way to remove the existing coating is to use a polish.

I think you would be OK using CanCoat in 4-6 months. WG will be weak by then. I wouldn’t polish, that’s going to remove your coating! Give it Reset wash for a few weeks prior or a coating prep wash one time, and/or Eraser just to get the old, dying LSP remains off and then I think Cancoat is ‘unpicky’ enough to do well.

Is it wolfgangs actual coating or sio2 spray? If coating go ahead and top.

If sio2 spray would light polish

Sorry, I was under the impression that UK3.0 would be on, then WG SiO2 Paint Sealant. Therefore I think WG SiO2 PS would be partially degraded after 4-5 months and then some strong cleaning (but no need to polish) and on to Cancoat. If I guessed wrong with WG SiO2 PS (and UK3.0 already being applied beforehand), my advice could be erroneous.

Going to be WG sealant not spray, Since ordered and have that product. I will do a light finish polish and apply it next weekend then in early spring I will probably do the Cancoat. Who knows by then I could have looked at 10 different products.

And no CQ UK during any of this right?

Lol, sorry I had that in my head. And you will really like WG SiO2 I think. It’s amazing but just won’t last as long as a coating lite like Cancoat.
