I am looking to find a polish that i can use that will eliminate swirls, not cover them up. I havnt yet bought any kinda polish from an online source, but have tried all the polished that my chemical distributers have.(auto magic, ardex, pro, car kem) Some of them work well and i can maintain the swirl freeness for a while when i finish with a qualitly wax. Just looking for opinions on the best swirl removing polish for use with my dewalt rotary.

When you say you can maintain the "swirl freeness" for a while...what does that mean? That the swirls come back after rain? After a wash?

Do they look like this, or more random?

nope, its not hacked up like that, just normal compounding swirls. They stay gone for a week or 2, just lookin for sumthin different.

If compounding swirls are "normal", you really need to work on your technique. Why don't you head down to Detail Fest next month and pick up some pointers.

So are you saying you compound and then go straight to wax....?

If that is a case you need to follow that compound with a less aggressive polish.

If it comes back in two weeks it sounds like you're only filling/covering up the fine scratches, and slowly eroding these fillers in those 2 weeks.
