I bought a small selection of Chemical Guys products about 3 years ago, mainly to see what they were like and to fill a few gaps in my product lineup.
VRP - I actually liked this, it smelt nice and was super easy to apply. Longevity was virtually nonexistent, which didn't really bother me as I apply dressing after each wash. I gave my bottle away to a customer.
Rubber & Vinyl Mat Renew - this would have to be one of the most disappointing detailing products I have used! Sure, it lathers up nicely but has none of the rejuvenation it promises on the label. I would suggest that using car wash soap would have been more effective than this cr.p. I used it all in the end but took great pleasure in throwing the empty bottle in the bin. McKee's rival product blows this out of the water.
Bare Bones - I should have known better with this, it's just too oily and greasy, so it traps dust and dirt. Sure, it looked good in the garage, but within short order it made the wheel arches look worse than if you had just left them alone. I gave this stuff away to a workmate, I suspect its sat in the cupboard ever since. I use Carpro Perl or Megs Hyper Dressing for this role now.
New Car Smell - this stuff is ok, certainly does its job but hardly impressive. I have kept this bottle, but I don't really use it.
I also bought one of their boars hair brushes, which is actually excellent for lugs as it's just the right size for that task. This brush is still in rotation.
