Hi everyone, as the title suggest... What do you guys use to manage all the client info? Name, type of vehicle, phone number, address, etc.

I've been keeping it on my phone and it is getting out of control trying to remember when I was last at a location, etc.

I did some work for a window cleaner and he suggested a website called "the customer factor" but would like some suggestions from detailers.

Thanks in advance!

How about your Outlook Contact list?

Or an excel spreadsheet....

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Car
  • Detail Date
  • Price Charged
  • Detail or Comments

yeah, i do it on excel speadsheat

you're not gonna be dealing with 100 customers a day or anything so just take the time out input em manually

What ive been doing is saving them in my email. I dont have a high volume of customers yet though. Here is what i do. When i get to the customers vehicle i do an inspection and mark any defects i see in the paint on a VIF. That form also contains all their contact info, detail info, and how much they are paying. Its very similar to Mikes VIF. I also take before and after pics of every car.

When i get home i send them a copy of the VIF/receipt. The Subject of the receipt is labeled "For your records (date-vehicle)" I also save their email under their name and create a contact for them. Then with the pictures i have a file on my desktop that has a file for each customer. Each one of those files are labeled the customers name and date then inside has all their pictures as well as a copy of the VIF/receipt.

This works for me. But like I said I dont have a high volume of customers. Once I start getting weeks booked solid ill switch to excel.
