Which rinseless do YOU prefer? Optimum or BLACKFire ?

I have both and have used them extensively, starting with BLACKFire's product (yellow product). Today was my second use of the Optimum No Rinse (blue stuff) and I've come to the conclusion that it's far better in terms of not leaving streaks.

What are your thoughts?
 
I've only used ONR...I like it so much, I never had the desire to even try anything else.
 
I like ONR over BF for rinseless. I like WGU over ONR, though.
 
Between the two, definitely ONR.

If you like ONR, but looking to try/searching for an alternative without spending a whole lot more, consider D114.

Personally I feel D114 is a better product overall. Better cleaning ability. Streak-free drying (people with coatings gave it a solid report). Does not interfere or alter lsp. Milder, more pleasant scent (IMO). Does not stain wash media. And of course 1:256 dilution ratio is hard to argue with.

The only 'negative' side is it doesn't leave any protection behind.
 
I use ONRww or Wolfgang Uber for maintenance washes but if the car has not been cleaned for awhile I use Meguiars D114. Meguiars D114 seems to have more cleaning power than any of the other products I have tried
 
between the two listed, ONR as i've never used the BF. i actually prefer this over the ONR and haven't really touched it since using this...

Sorry to not answer the question directly but WGU is the way to go, the outer limits have been reached here That said, out of the 2 listed I would go with OWW but that's because I have more experience with it, especially since I have about a half gallon of it left. BF is a solid choice and you can't go wrong with either of them but if your buying a gallon of a rinseless product I'm not sure why anyone would get something other than WGU!

Can those that rate WGU highly elaborate (besides price/value) why they feel WG>OPT>D114>BF?

I'm running low on my current favs (OPT, D114, Ultima) but may want to try WG RW.

1. So much more slickness during washing and drying compared to ONR, ONRWW and BF.
2. Finish left behind is also more slick and glossy.
3. Dilution ratio is better.
4. Also works great as a waterless wash. Rivals D115 in cleaning ability and slickness. ONR can be grabby when used as a waterless wash in my experience. Opti-Clean streaks a lot and requires a lot of buffing. I no longer use dedicated glass cleaners because Uber works so well and is streak free.
5. Smells better and the smell doesn't linger around.
6. Doesn't stain washing media. My towels still smell like ONR after they're washed.

The only downside I see is that it leaves something behind. D114 is the only one that I know of that doesn't leave anything behind.
 
Thanks for the replies so far. Ihave about 1/2 Gal of Blackfire left and I have a Quart of the ONR. I will plan on using Blackfire as my pre-rinse before washes at the self-serve in the winter and use the ONR for now. I may order up Wolf No Rinse next to try it a well.

The difference in drying with WGU is unbelievable! I've used many other RW's over the years, with great success but when I tried WGU as a RW for the first time I couldn't believe it, I noticed it right away! Next up is spiciness, once again, VERY noticeable!

Clean with confidence, clean with Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash! Oh and BTW, 3 ounces in a gallon jug topped with distilled water makes an equally impressive waterless wash. This is a clean little secret with this product👍👍

Although marketed as a rinseless, I would put WU in the same bracket as Ultima; a waterless product with rinseless capabilities. ONR would be comparable to D114 (which the price seems to reflect also).

I'm not sure if "better" is the correct term to use when comparing WU to D114. I think Marc nailed it, as that's pretty much my preference when/how I use said products. D114 is more like a paint safe APC (I know that sounds funny, but if you use it long enough you'll know what I mean), whereas Wolfgang Uber is pretty much Ultima 'double plus.' Very slick, and quite glossy.

Is WU worth the price beyond the original two choices OP posted? IMO, most definitely. So much so that if anyone in this thread decided to purchase it and somehow feels disappointed with the product - I would buy it from you (including shipping and everything). That's how much I like WU.

The same offer applies to D114. Anyone here buys a gallon and hates it, I would cover the expense as well. Love the stuff also. I've just finished a gallon and picked up two more on my last orders.

I've been wondering what to do now that the water is off and the cars are all full of salt and crap.

Do rinseless washers really not leave any marring or scratches? I have a ton of MF towels....but I still have my doubts. Everyone raves about ONR, but now I am intrguied by WG's rinseless... hmm...

It may depend on your technique and how dirty the vehicle is. After using ONR the past year, I feel that it can be safe if used properly.
