Which rinseless do YOU prefer? Optimum or BLACKFire ?

Welcome to the club and your correct in your assessment of the WGU. Have you tried it as a waterless yet? Its basically 3 ounces mixed with a gallon of distilled water:props:

Yep, it worked well. But I kinda like rinseless right now. I have been using it rinseless with 600+GSM MF's and love it.

Waterless is for certain uses, like days of dust and light dirt. I spray it very liberally to ensure a safe wash👍

Since I've started using this, I'm actually gonna try tossing some in the mix with my regular car wash soap when I do a conventional wash. Just to add more lubricity to the paint.

I plan on doing that with what I have left of the Blackfire product. I like it but it streaks and doesn't wipe as cleanly as Optimum.

Cost & waste is not a concern for me. I'd rather over lubricator the surface versus introducing marring.

Sorry to sound stupid, but you're supposed to use Distilled over tap when mixing it, right? Or is that preference so it doesn't leave waterspots?

I ripped them off, yes.

I have a new bag sitting though. I don't want to anger any folks here at AG though so I will sent a PM to Pheerix (for photo proof being made in Korea).

Yea that's the other thing I was gonna ask you about.. It was bugging me the other day because I guess I threw my bag away [after saving it for a couple weeks I finally chucked it]

But I do somewhat remember reading "made in Korea" on the back of the bag, which made me feel even better about using them.. Even though I consider the whole China bashing to be way overblown.

Was just at that warehouse store the other day. Looked at a bag and said Made in China. Maybe different states get different stock? Are yours yellow?

When I 1st read that I thought you said you were just at the warehouse in China. Lmao😜

Yea, mine are yellow. Btw, other than a heavily saturated towel in rinseless wash solution, I have yet to put 1 of those towels "dry" on paint.. I've had plenty of opportunities, but so far I always seem to reach for 1 of my Megs Supreme Shines instead, even though they are an older batch.

You are right! They are made in China.

Yellow too. :(

Sorry for the misinformation. I guess one of the 'wholesalers' is in Korea which made me think that it was made there too when I gave it a quick glance one time. I wonder what GSM they are? It doesn't say on the bag, tehy're 80/20.

I wouldn't worry too much about not knowing what GSM they are.. I've heard an educated guess say they're 360gsm.
If you were to call Meguiars RX Hotline and ask them what GSM their Supreme Shines are, they wouldn't have a clue. [I've actually called and asked] I know that sounds pretty surprising but yea, I guess they never jumped on that hypewagon.. But what I found even more shocking, was the fact that the youngster on the line had absolutely no idea what GSM's even meant!
[I rarely ever call their CS hotline, but it seems whenever I do I have the unfortunate luck of being connected to the same kid who doesn't seem to know much about detailing and is quite rude to boot. Smh]

Interesting. I've had (only time I've needed something) good experienced with Meguiars.

One of their MF pads 'failed' on me, but I think that was me being a newb and using it too long which caused the hook and loop too wear down too soon. Either way, the guy sent me a new pair and to top it off a free backing plate to make sure! :)

Super nice and super friendly when I called. The guy worked with me like he was a neighbor or something. It was a great experience.
