Which wax or sealant will you be using for winter?

With cold air already making it's way into the northern states and winter just around the corner, many car owners are winterizing their vehicles. Which wax or paint sealant will you be using this winter? Please vote in the poll and feel free to post comments. If choosing other, please post your choice for winter paint protection.

2 coats of Wolfgang DGPS topped with souveran paste. If I wasn't using a sealant, I would use the liquid souveran w/polycharger

I will be applying Collinite 845 to my wife's Taurus (perhaps even today), preceded by an application of ColorX. I am considering applying the Collinite to my own car. I applied two coats of NXT to my S2000 two weeks ago, after a wash and clay. I think I might just apply a coat (or two) of 845 in the next two weeks or so.

I chose the 845, rather than the other Collinite waxes, because I have no experience with paste waxes and because I heard that the 845 is the easiest of the Collinite products with which to work.

It will be interesting to see how well the Collinite holds up through the winter months. Both of our cars are garaged, thankfully. Roanoke winters, so I'm told, are usually fairly mild.

Apply a paint protection sealant (Zaino or Klasse) and then an LSP for extreme conditions (Collinite's Super Doublecoat Auto Wax (476s) and / or and Insulation Wax (845) - use a damp applicator, work the wax into the surface to ensure a very thin layer, allow to dry for approx one hour (do a swipe-test) remove the residue with a clean micro fibre towel, protection will last approximately 4-6 months

One coat of DGPS already, another to go on when I go home, and then after that two coats of DP MaxWax. Gonna do this thing up for the 20 days or so I get to drive it all winter (that's November to February)...

On my car over the last 4 weeks I put on 1 coat Klasse AIO, 1 coat Of NXT 2 and 1 coat of Collinite 476. On my wifes van Ill use 1 coat of D.G. 501 with a top coat of 105. On my sons Honda it will be 1 coat of K-AIO and 1 coat of Collinite 845. We'll see what last the longest.

I have 3 cars, and planning to use different combos on each...Daily driver will probably get a coat of DG #105 topped off with Megs #16/or Collinite 845...
Acura will probably get a coat of Klasse twins topped with Collinite 476S...
And BMW will probably get a coat of sealant (haven't decided which one, Wolfgang or 4*, both are polycharged) topped with Collinite 915 (for the looks)...Maybe will change something...

Not as big an issue in Ca. The motorhome that will be parked in the elements all winter just got DG 501 topped with Collinite 885 X2.

Ill be using UPGP sealent with 3 layers as it has lasted about 6 months so far.

One coat of Duragloss 501, then a coat of DG Trackclaw sealant and two coats of Collinite 915. This should do the trick!!!

i cant believe not one person mentioned 4 star ultimate paint protection....i have used many of the products listed, and nothing matches 4 star upp for protection and slickness....

My Corvette and Avanti's stay garaged all winter so I don't do anything different for them...Griot's Best of Show Wax and Pinnacle Souveran takes care of them.

For our daily drivers I use Griot's Garage Carnauba Wax Stick...easy to use, looks great and long lasting. Great stuff. It will last until Spring with no problem.

DP's Premium Surface Shield is the base. I've been topping it with either 845, Natty's Red, or P21s. "Winters" here in south Florida is a relative term...

Didn't you get the memo? There is no winter in Florida.

Zaino Z-AIO enabled with ZFX as the base coat. A coat of Zaino Z-CS as the sealant. And finally, Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer sprayed on every week or so. Weather hasn't been really bad here in NJ yet, so Meg's Ultimate QD hasn't been applied on either car at this point. This has given me some time to consider using Optimum Car Wax or DG Aquawax as my LSP instead.

I will be trying out the XMT 360 this year for my sealant on my winter vehicle. now if only I could find some time to do it before winter lol

My bimmer will get 3x WG sealant and monthly coats of various coats of waxes over the winter. My wifes SUV will get EX-P with Megs #26 and Mothers pure. Her vehicle is outside. My 86 Mustang GT will get a coat of Natty's red get covered and put away for the winter.
