Which wet/dry vacuum should I buy?

Have you considered looking into a 2 or 3 stage vac? More power and quiter than your standard box store offerings. Look at the CFM and sealed pressure inch of water / static water lift specs if powerful suction is important. Several years ago I purchased a 2 stage ShopVac QXL30ATS from OverStock.com on close-out and have been very happy with it over the Craftsman's I had prior. Recently I picked up a Milwaukee 8912 wet/dry vac in very good condition from a construction company going out of business for $80. All it needs is a new hose and the swivel connector to make the hose to vac connection (current set-up is hose duct-taped to vac). I can tell you the 3 stage Milwaukee is a beast compared to a standard shop vac.

Hopefully they have addressed all their vacuum needs five years ago.

Speaking of, anyone know whatever happened to Bobby G.? He had a yellow Corvette behind him on his avatar.

This forum really needs a "Whatever happened to..." thread. A lot of good posters have gone missing.

I ask the same question where Bobby G. I got no reply.

I enjoyed reading his reviews.

I've had the Rigid one that looks like a toolbox (sorry can't rexamm actual name of tht model) for over 10 years and it's seen a ton of use from detailing to sucking up water in a flooded basement and everything in between and still runs as good as the day I got it. I don't use it for my everyday car cleanings as I have a metro for that, but it's a beast and can take a beating.

Shower has embedded 2 links to words in their text, which is a sign of a spammer.

I've sent this person and e-mail asking them to explain as I like to give people the benefit of the doubt buy reality is,

If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck - it's a duck.

Anytime you see a NEW member bring an old thread back to life, look to see if they have a word in their copy that is a LINK - this is what a spammer does.

Then REPORT it by hitting the REPORT button and a Moderator will take care of it.

As I was going through pending accounts this morning his other post was flagged due to the html code hidden in the text he posted.

:dunno:

I'm happy with my $39 -20% Harbor Freight. Much better suction than I would have guessed .
