Hey guys and gals, my wife and I recently purchased a white 2004 Honda Accord and I was wondering what the best products are for white paint? Thanks for your input!

Dennis

I tried a couple stuff from buddies, what I found and really like. On my white suv (Mercury Mountaineer), polished/compound with Optimum, AI0, 2 layers of EX-P, and 3 layers now of Natty's Blue. I've honestly had comments from guys in the office with Rover's, Porsches etc, that can't believe how wet/deep my white truck looks (whereas most detailed whites I've seen just look bright and shiny, but that seems to be what most people want on white from what I found). Actually when I get a chance I have a pic of my truck and yellow GT3 at the office next to each other.

Well, as a starter the only things I have are the SSR's and Souveran for now. I wouldn't be able to get the same results? Also, what it AIO? Is that the Klasse All In One? I see that a lot in here, but the abbrev. wasn't posted on the list that someone posted a couple of days ago. What is Optimum? Thanks Surfer:-)

Optimum Polish and Optimum Compound, I love those two products. Yup AIO = Klasse. Souveran Paste would still look great on white I'm sure, I have friends who use either Natty's Blue or Souv and there isn't a real noticeable difference, they are both the tops IMO.

I would do polishing, then AIO, good sealent/glaze, then Souveran. Should look incredible on white. I'm gonna try a glaze like RMG next time to get an even wetter look.

Would using the RMG over the VMG be better one white? I know RMG is geared towards darker colors.

RMG/VMG?? Not on my abbrev. list:-( Thanks guys. Would the SSR's do the same as the Optimum stuff, since I already have it? I'll have to get me some AIO:-)

RMG = Clearkote Red Moose Machine Glaze
VMG = Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze

SSR's should result in similar results if done correctly. You have a PC right??

Oh yeah...got the PC last week....PC a must:-) I'll have to get me some Klasse AIO though, seems to be a favorite. I would use that after the SSR's and before the Souveran, right? Something I want to ask: Would I be better off with the 6" backing plate and counterweight with 6.5" pads? I've got the 5" backing plate with the smaller counterweight that the PC came with. Would I notice less vibration? On 6 the PC vibrates the teeth man! haha

Thanks again,

Dennis

Yes, AIO goes on after the polish. I'm not sure on the counterweight and backing plate combination to produce the least amount of vibration. Surfer says that "I don't use the handle, just hold the back with my hand which actually makes it easier to control anyway. But I also have Edge 2K pads, PC w/ no handle + Edge 2K pads = smooth operator;) , I still get the itches though hehe. Mine came with the 6" counter weight (Lowes 7336) which from what others said vibrates less then the 7424 and it's 5" weight."
