The bissell is more than just a weekend warrior lol I employ that sucker full time. About 9 cars a week get done with that bad boy. I've had it about 5-6 months. Still works just as good as the day I bought it. In the future I plan on getting a higher end one. But for now, it does the trick pretty well. I have no complaints.

My method,
1)Vacuum
2)Dust off as much as I can (floor mats)
3)Folex and hand scrub
4)Extract (just water)
5)Repeat as necessary

The reason I don't use any chemicals in the tank is because I think extracting with just water leaves less chemical in the carpet in the end. I also prefer to hand scrub with folex. Seems to do a better job.

When you go over the mats for the final time with the Bissill do you hold down the nozzle while you move the vaccum part or what? I do that and I find I have to refill/empty my tank around 2 times PER MAT!!! so it takes me forever.

Any ideas how to go about this quicker? I've heard some people say they refilled the tank 3 times for the whole detail..there's no way I can do that with the method I'm using.

Right before I go over the mat for the final time. I get a terry cloth or microfiber towel and do a quick dry to try and absorb any water and then the bissell for the last time

When do you spread water over the mats?

I do when I spray Folex/APC+ and then while I suck everything up I hold the trigger the entire time. That's probably why I need to refill/empty so much.

I spray the folex let it sit for about 3mins then used the bissell I also hold the trigger for about 2 passes of the whole mat..then just extract without pulling the trigger

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but I go over it with the vacuum to suck up any extra water. I don't find myself emptying the tank. I usually refill my tank 2-3 times for the whole detail. But then again I'm only extracting with the water once I've scrubbed everything down first. I don't use a whole lot of water. I try to use as little as possible.

YES lol don't hold the trigger on your final vacuum lol

I think I'll make a video about it tomorrow. The method I use seems to work great for me.

Looks like a new truck!

Bet he was very happy...

:dblthumb2:

Yes he was. He said it looked better then when the dealer detailed it.. I chuckled when he said that. I also showed him the proper wash technique so he can maintain the truck. I asked him if he ever uses dish soap and he said yes I told him that's a big NO NO. I gave him a big lecture why it was bad. He asked me where he would buy some good car supply. I told him autogeek.net
