Mike, I'm the new owner of a beautiful new 2014 Jetta GLI Edition 30 that's white in color.

Most of the vehicles that are shown on the website are black or another dark color which we all know gives that look that we all crave.

What would you do with a brand new white car? Or more specifically, is there anything you would reach for that works best on white paint in terms of protection and appearance? I live in Houston so the weather and environment is about the same that you guys are used to. Hot, humid, some more heat, and then an added dose of humidity just for kicks and giggles.

I would use Opti-Coat or Cquatrz to protect the paint. We have 3 white cars and they are all coated and I have a white GTI.

I've decided to go ahead with Opti Coat. In terms of protection, that's my best bet.

And honestly, I'm tired of sweating to death when I polish or wax. In this hot Houston weather, anything more than a wash feels like a form of punishment.

Hi Chase,

Opti-Coat II is a good choice.

Here's another option that I used on a brand new white Jeep Cherokee and for your heat issue, definitely a coating...

Cleaned & Coated in 3 Hours - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

That Jeep is beautiful! I had a Limited 4x4 in Colorado last month and didn't want to let it go. Absolutely loved it.

Glad to head that you agree with a coating, I really think it's the right choice. I got some down time at work last night and decided to go ahead with an order so I can have it by the weekend. l settled on Exo, good choice?
