Who here uses Tide for their microfibers?

This is a recurrent type of thread.

On a recent one I debated the problem with swanicyouth because he was presenting quite compelling arguments (the ones also on this thread). I came to the conclusion that washing machines and detergents here in Europe tend to be quite different from the ones "across the pond"...

I usually wash my MF's with a powder basic detergent (sometimes, for the really soiled ones, I also add Oxy Magic Plus) on high temp (60 or 75º C - 140 or 167 ºF) and dry them on the drying machine.

I have Pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator and there is no difference in the final results.

I don't fall for gimmicks but a buddy told me the bf mf cleaner made the towels feel better. I didn't believe him. So we also tested a batch of towels to see. All from the same car. The towels washed with bf mf detergent are significantly softer with almost no "clinginess" in your hands. However I found no difference in cleanliness than tide. Fwiw.

"clinginess" is good, not bad.

I am sure variables like water quality can influence results as well.

No i understand clinginess is good on the paint. I have rough hands and hate the way new MF feels. It feels like its sticking to me a like a leaf to a sock. I guess that's the best way to describe it. But with the bf mf detergent. That feeling is gone and I still feel that the MF performs at 100%

i hate that i washed my mf towels boiled them in whit e vinegar and water and washed them with no soap and they dont pick up water anymore. So im assuming that bc i didn't use any soap after boiling them in vinegar i didn't do anything.

I used to exclusively use Tide but noticed the towels getting "stiffer." I then tried Griot's microfiber wash and the towels did seem to come out softer. However, I am now using Tide combined with distilled white vinegar (more cost effective) and the mf towels come out both clean and soft.

You probably have better machines, here in America, people just want big machines with a lot of gimmicks. The washers they sell now are garbage. A washer used to last 20 years. A new one now will break all the time.

I noticed in Europe the quality of a lot of everyday things just seems better.

I went to a Dunkin' Donuts on the ku'damm in Berlin. I ordered an orange juice. The girl started cutting oranges and squeezing fresh juice. I couldn't believe it.
