Who likes people touching their car???

My 3yr old grandson is blind, he loves to go into the garage and run his hands over papa's truck and grandma's car, I just cringe, and the kids laugh at me. I have even gone as far as distracting him by introducing him to the tool box, weedeater, and anything else I have laying around.

In that case my heart goes out to the little fellow, I am blind in my right eye. At that age he is being a kid for sure, It's his connection to the world " please take nothing for granted " I know. Let him try the baggie test to feel if they need to be clayed, he might get a kick out of that.:buffing:

Awwww....let the little man have his fun.

Tool box is a good idea. Kids love sockets & ratchet. Just be careful he doesn't play King Arthur and give your truck some ding freebies. haha

When he grows up I think he is going to be a small appliance repair man, he is totally obsessed with any vaccum cleaner, dishwasher, washer and dryers. The wife was making cookies the other day, he didn't want a cookie he wanted the mixer, thats all he could talk about. Little guy has Leber Congenital Amaurosis (LCA). He is well loved. LOL.

Here in Miami we like to use the 'Choo Choo' phrase, it's pretty much guaranteed they stop touching the car (jeep in my case)

"Hey Amigo, you keep touchin my car and I'm gonna choo choo" **must be spoken with Latin accent**

Peace out

Teach the young Lad the "BAGGIE TEST".He can feel so after you clay the truck or a portion show him the difference.I would love to see a photo of the youngster with a baggie in his hand.Tim.

Let the husband drive my car again the other night...
Found fingerprints above the door handle again.

What the hell?????

He finally figured out he does it because his door handle broke on his car once, so he got in the habit of pushing the door closed from above it.

i have to tell you all, i dont think i can live up to the pressure of the forum! i like my car clean, and shiny, but never before did i think about someone touching my car! pressure i may be able to live up too!

I think this thread has made me more paranoid. I'm in a carpool at work, and yesterday one of the guys was meeting us outside at the end of the day. He didn't specify if he would meet us at the door or at the car, so all I could think about for the last 15 minutes was what I would do if I got out there and he was leaning on the car.

OMG that's hilarious!

Sorry :D

Taking a few steps back to reflect;
and, realizing that:

-Since: I'm "old"...But I don't want an "Old Man's Car Show" life; and,
-Since: I don't live in some Norman Rockwell painting...That:

I've decided to change my previous stance on this "touching" issue.
