I have never used my machine to wash my Edge 2k or Lake Country pads but have read that some people do. If you regularly use a machine for washing your pads, what temperature do you use (wash/rinse)? What cycle? Do you use an extra rinse cycle? What detergent do you use and do you spray first with an APC/XMT pad cleaner? Do you spin them dry? Any adverse effects from machine washing? Thanks for the input.

I wouldnt machine wash. If you do, then Id use cold or warm water and on gentle. I think the combo of the washing machine and hot water will cause the glue to go bad. Use something that doesnt have bleach in it, and dont use softener. You could dry the pad by putting it on your PC and turning it up to speed 6, all the water will sling off.

just do it by hand...i use the xmt pad cleaner and rinse it of with a hose... no damage to the pad ..and will take less time then to use a wahser

oo and yess deff spin dry it with the PC on speed 6..takes off about 90% of the water

I wash my Cyclo & LC pads in the washer and have for years......haven't had one fail yet.

have been washing mine since day one. i spray the pads then put in the washer. mini load on warm/cold when done air dry. i usually wash them with the mf towels using pinnacle cleaner. when the spin cycle is done i check to make sure most of the water is out, if not i press them on a cotton towel to get the rest out.

machine washing has never hurt any of my pads....i do it if i'm feeling lazy...otherwise some pad cleaner and a sharp spray of water gets em clean...if you want to make things easy just make a pre-soak bucket and drop your pads and towels in it as you use them...by the end of my detail a simple rinse gets all my pads clean and i throw the towels into the washing machine and they come out cleaner...
