Beats me. I was just responding to the seemingly erroneous assertion that the "5s was made because the iphone 5 had huge flaws."
FWIW my 4 is running fine on ios7. I just ordered a 32gb 5c since they dropped in price after the announcement of the 6. (we ain't exactly on the bleeding edge in our house)![]()
I've had my iPhone 5 for about 2 years and recently I was having troubles with the battery, it just wouldn't last very long and it would die on me all of sudden when it wasn't plugged in. I called Apple to find out about how much it would cost to replace my battery. The guy told me that my phone had a serial number that was known to have issues with the battery and that it could be replaced for free even though it was out of warranty.
He set up an appointment for me at an Apple store nearby to have it replaced. I went on the day of my appointment and they didn't have the battery in stock. The store called me a couple of days later to say they had the battery in stock. It took about an hour for them to replace it.
It's better to call Apple and set up an appointment at an Apple store and then call the store to make sure they have the battery in stock.
I backed up the contents of my phone on iTunes before I went but the replacement worked without a hitch. When I picked up the phone everything was working fine as if nothing happened. Phone works like normal again.
Seemingly erroneous because you refuse to believe your beloved Apple could have issues. Google iphone 5 mic problems. Enjoy.
I gave my daughter my Samsung SIII, ordered her a new battery off of Ebay $2.36, took me all of 5 seconds to change it.
Still waiting to hear why you think Apple will release a 6s in a few months.
Probably because his beloved android phone will be replaced by a larger version in a few months. That's also why they don't hold value very well. Typical fanboy.
Im the fanboy??? Do you own a mirror? I havent said anything that isnt true. I also didnt say Android didnt have issues. Im happy with my LG G3. My previous phone, the Droid Bionic, sucked. Enjoy your phone.
Its almost sad how defensive Apple loyalists get when something negative is said. Relax, its a phone!
When you take any chance to get to bash a competitor's product, and take it? And fail to mention problems with your beloved product in your argument. Yea.... Fanboy![]()
Uhhh...you dont make any sense. Any chance I get? I made one comment. You are the one coming across as the fanboy, so defensive. It would be funny if it wasnt so sad. Youre not worth my timw anymore as you clearly dont properly read posta here, and take things perso9, which is evident by you resorting to name calling, which by the way, is in violation of the forum rules...
It would be nice if you could do that with the iPhone. I must admit I've been looking at other phones lately, mainly Samsung. I've had the iPhone since they first came out with them and I suppose the reason I haven't switched over is that I'm so used to how it works and where all the settings are.
What are/were the issues with the 5?
I'm thinking about picking up one,
that are trade-ins on the 6.
You get the battery free because Apple had an official battery recall for the iphone 5.
Yeah and that micro sd 32 gb upgrade I put it in my S4...
•I'll just look for a:
-Traded-in-iPhone5 to buy: one that was originally manufactured to be sold after February 1, 2013.
-That's when the iPhone5 battery recall officially ended.
Bob
Thanks...Bob, You dont need to focus on the build date, youre covered on the battery recall if you have a prerecall model. So, look for the best deal and enjoy!![]()
Thanks...
I sure will!!
Although it's been FUN being an electronics-caveman:
I need to try to enter into the 21st century before too long.
