I'm looking to buy a DA kit and have pretty much settled on this one Detailer's Choice
Wolfgang Porter Cable 7424XP Swirl - Free Kit 3.0 but it comes with 6.5 pads. Almost everything I've read here says that the 5.5 pads are a better choice. So the question is why do the kits come with 6.5's. I think there may be one kit that has the 5.5's. Personally I would really rather have the Girots DA insted of the PC but with these same products. maybe it would be best just to order them individually. Haven't priced them out to see where the total cost ends up if the kit is really that much of a better deal. Suggestions please.

There's a little over an hour left of the memorial day sale. It's 15% off but not on polisher kits. So when you price it out separately, make sure you count the 15% discount on everything but the polisher. But hurry, time us running out.

When I bought my GG I looked at the kits but I wanted the 5.5 pads and all the kits had some things I thought I would never use so I priced everything I wanted individually. I ended up spending a little more than a kit but I got more of what I wanted and what I would use, so in the long run I feel I came out better. And with the 15% off you could come out really good.

Well that worked out pretty well with the discount. I was able to get more for less, which is alaways a good thing. I'm going to be using it on my DD's 2007 Stone F150 and gold 2010 Accord. With all the available stuff on here to buy I settled on these before I got any more confused.

Nice purchase. Might want to look into buying more pads

Why did you not just order the Griots? The Griots can easily spin 6.5's. The money you spent on the extra BP would've made up the difference

Wait, what?!?!?!? Memorial Day has already come and gone?!?!?!? Dang this years going by fast

As I understand it from the earlier post, the kits were not on the 15% sale. So loosing the discount would have cost me more and got less. Yes a few more pads in the future but wanted to try what was recommended with these products.

Griots is having a sale too. See if AG will match it ;)

Why would you only order 3 pads???

Isnt a 6 pack like $35?

Memorial Day isn't until the 30th. I'm confused too.
He is saying the Memorial Day sle is over even though the day hasn't arrived yet. Like a christmas sale ending before christmas.

This is a question that has plagued man for nearly 1000 years....We still don't know....:dunno:

Yes that may have been the better choice to make. But at the time I ordered I had just a few minutes to get the order in before the sale ended. So had I had a few more minutes to look the options over I would have gone that route. Who knows why the Memorial day sale is over a week before the holiday. Why can your wife buy a swim suit in January but have a hell of a time finding one in July?

The sale (as most of their holiday sales are) was set up so that you will receive your order before Memorial Day.

If you call Meghan Monday morning I'm sure she can adjust your order

Thanks I'll give it a shot. Question, should I go with more of the same or get the other colors as well. Nothing I have needs any real correction done and I don't plan on doing any other cars, maybe just family but most of them are newer stuff.

hi the way i see it the 6.5 pad is working great for me . you can always get some 5.5 if you want . try them i think you find they work just fine Good luck

Order the Groits DA along with 3 orange, 2 Black and 1 White (6 pak special) in the 6.5" sizes. You'll save some by not having to purchase the additional BP (which will leave you with a worthless piece) Even if you have to throw an additional $20-$30 into the order, you'll be so glad you did. If you don't, you will be kicking yourself

If you have the funds. I would add 2 6.5 Surbufs as well for any ruff stuff you may/will encounter

Meghan will fix this for you I'm quite confident. Call her Monday a.m.
