I have a question. When I shampoo the carpets and the seats, why does sometimes have a yellow/lightbrown finish when it dries up ? I use the maytee shampooer. How can I get my finishes better ? Also the seat belt straps how do you guys clean these ? They as well end up real yellow and I have to go over them with a dry cloth and degreases and its double the work.

Pictures would help a ton but im assuming the foam could either be dirt that is coming to the top or it could be the color of whatever product your using.

It sounds to me like you're not completely extracting your chemicals and dirt out from the seats; you need to make slow, even, repetitive passes over the seat to draw out as much moisture as possible. If you don't the moisture will just make its way to the surface and make stains or discoloration "reappear" even after you've extracted them.

Also, you shouldn't be running any type of cleaner through your extractor; plain, clean hot water will do the trick if you pretreat and agitate your seats.

Photos would help!

On the fresh water tank, that´s all I put. No shampoo. no cleaner.
In some jobs I use a Final Rinse. like the one use in Carpet & Upholstery cleaning.

Just in a Spray bottle make your Mix of choice. Folex.APC.
Pre-spray the area. let it work for a couple of minutes, then agitate with a brush.

the Rinse part will be your Portable, hotter the water, better results in cleaning & drying part.

always an extra drying pass. and I think this will help you with your Problem.

Seat belts. the same. pre-spray them. let it work a good 5 to 7mn your cleaning product.
give a nice brush pass, and with the detail wand. if you have the one with the interior sprayer on. This will really help you to not over spray any parts of your car´s interior plastic, or seats.

hope´s this help you!!!

Thanks a lot, yes I bought a cleaner for extractor that my detailing supplier recommended me. It goes in the extractor. Looks like this is the problem then. I will use a carpet/upholstery diluted in a spray can and spray the carpets and seats then agitate with brush. THEN use the extractor with water in it, obviously hot.
