i just bought a 2012 toyota vitz...imported it from dubai...had a many swirl marks and the left side of the car has been repainted...i can't detail the car as i'm outta pads for the DA polisher...so i thought of giving it a wax after a wash...the problem is that when i started to wax the left side i noticed that the pad was becoming red as the car is red...the paint from the car was coming off...why is this so and what should be done to stop this...the wax i was using was meguairs NXT!!!

^ likely cuz it's single stage paint (no clear coat). But, i think you're posting this in the wrong place. Someone might move it to the proper location.

I moved your post to create you you're own dedicated thread for your question.

You originally posted it in a thread about my how-to book here,

Detailing How-To Book and Detailing How-To E-book by Mike Phillips

Nothing wrong with tagging a question onto a thread about something completely different than what your question is about except you'll get more answers if you start your own thread with a "topic" that tells everyone on the forum what you need help with.

Make sense?

And welcome to AutogeekOnline!

Buy a car that's not single stage paint? Im the MAN

Really though. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it's the nature of the beast. You're actually getting clear when you do a car that has base/clear it's just that being clear you're not seeing the color transfer. On red/black/etc that tend to be single stage it's quite noticeable as you've seen.

It can be quite shocking first time you see it. Here was a black car test section pass that should have been base/clear but had been repainted:
